The Lake Champlain Islands is a wonderful place to bike ride. We stay on the shoreline roads as much as possible when we cruise the Islands. Since I wrote this blog post, I have taken the bike ferry and ridden the 3-mile causeway which is surrounded by Lake Champlain and then continued all the way to Burlington. It was a lot of fun and I highly suggest it to all our bike-enthusiast guests staying at The Green Cottage.

Every Thursday evening from late May until early September, Snow Farm Vineyard in South Hero, Vermont puts on a free concert. You can bring a picnic or purchase food from the on-site vendors. Wood-fired pizza is just one of several options. Buy a glass of wine or a bottle. Beer is also available on tap. We encourage our Green Cottage guests to plan their Thursday night at the vineyard. Drive through the animal safari. Walk the edges of the safari and feed the giraffes. Be sure to bring Romaine lettuce to feed the animals. Carrots offer too much sugar to the animals&#x27; diet. The watercrafts can only be built using cardboard and duct tape and must travel on Lake Champlain between Hero&#x27;s Welcome dock and the Steamship Pier Bar shore.
