We only listed our favorites (either because of the delicious food, pleasant service, great setting/decor/atmosphere and of course good value for money), so it's definitely not a list of all the restaurants in Cascais...In case you have any suggestions to add to the list please let us know!

Os Prazeres da Carne

This restaurant is tucked away at the left end of the Casa da Guia, which is an amazing complex of several restaurants to choose from, with magnificent views of the Atlantic Ocean. Either for lunch or dinner, Casa da Guia is the favorite spot of most of our guests at Cascais Holiday Apartment. When you check it out you will quickly understand why! Make sure not to forget to go inside the yellow villa where you can even go for some shopping after your meal... Our favorite restaurant in Casa da Guia is Os Prazeres da Carne, primarily a steak house but the restaurant also has a good selection of fresh fish, pastas and risottos. Friendly and competent service, good drinks.

This restaurant is located next to the Boca do Inferno so it's always busy for lunch and dinner, better reserve a table at off-hours. The abundance of fresh seafood on each platter that whizzes by is extraordinary, beautiful to look at and delicious to enjoy. This is the type of restaurant you don't pick for the view or special decor, but rather for a memorable seafood experience!

When you are looking for a local easy going restaurant with Portuguese Petiscos (or tapas), this is the place! You can either sit inside or outside but always try to reserve since the place will be packed. They serve several small plates of meat, fish, cheese, scrambled eggs, bread etc, so the best is to order a few and share. Delicious!

Our favorite sushi place in Cascais, run by one of the best sushi chefs in the region who recently left the Sushi Design restaurant.
The most fresh and tasteful sushi you can imagine! The friendly service, the creative and varied menu, we just fell in love with this tiny and cozy restaurant with outdoor terrace (which allows to sit outside even during winter as they installed heating). Sushi lovers should make sure to not miss this spot a bit off the beaten track… Make sure to call to reserve a table as the word is being spread…

This place seems like an ordinary beach bar but the food is really delicious. Great spot for sunset drinks & bites. Nice, relaxed and professional service, good view to the beach - what else can you ask for?

When visiting Cascais make sure to check out this hidden gem in the historic center, owned by a lovely Dutch couple: the decoration of the place with lots of wood and special designs (each piece of furniture comes with its own story!) feels so cozy and the food is really delicious: a nice variety of original dishes (from fish to meat including several vegan dishes), all very fresh, spicy and well presented. The friendliness of the staff, the superb food and the warm decor make this a place to go back for sure!

This restaurant which consists of two rooftop terraces, a buffet style vegetarian restaurant and a bakery, is truly a House of Wonders! All the food and drinks are home made and really tasty. The rooftop terrace is a very cozy place with a very laid-back atmosphere. Perfect for a drink at sunset. The restaurant is also very special with its oriental flair and has a large terrace in front. They offer a buffet with a great selection of hot and cold salads mixed with delicious spices. Make sure you try the desserts, out of this world!

Lovely sushi and salads on a peaceful square in the historical center across the Marechal Carmona park with outdoor terrace, one of my favourite spots for lunch.

Favorite of the locals and nestled in a neighborhood away from the tourist areas, no fancy decor but just delicious authentic Indian cuisine!

If you're in the search of fresh sea food, great and friendly service and a beautiful view, go to this restaurant with a wonderful setting at the Cascais Marina. The best option is to select the fresh catch of the day fish from the fish market and then wait for it to be prepared and served, while sipping a glass of vinho verde and watching the sunset over the Marina and lighthouse, truly wonderful!

This bar is tucked into the sand dunes at the North end of Guincho Beach. Excellent parking.
The terrace looks out onto the beach, fantastic setting for snacks, drinks and people watching and that VIEW! We love the atmosphere here, nice laid back music which will bring you the perfect soundtrack to a lazy afternoon.

One of our favorite spots for a healthy lunch in Cascais after of before a walk in the Guincho dunes: delicious crepes, casual setting, relax atmosphere, friendly staff, and this beautiful scenic view...
Páteo do Guincho

The restaurant (from the same group as Bar do Guincho and Páteo do Petisco) is not easy to find, but once you get there is a very pleasant surprise, first of all because of the wonderful setting overlooking the ocean, through tennis courts. The best way to go is to order several dishes and share, the food is tasty (especially the meat mmm) and comes at a reasonable price. We like the easy going atmosphere and great service. As the restaurant is very popular among the locals it is recommended to reserve a table, especially when you are with a larger group!

If you like golf or are just looking for a peaceful place for lunch or drinks then restaurant Verbasco is the place to be!
The menu is not very extensive but the beautiful terrace with ocean view and tranquility of the golf course in the beautiful Quinta da Marinha make up for it!
