Minnesota vacation rentals

We came out from GreenBay area to watch our nephews play hockey and spend time with their family. The owners were very helpful with questions ahead of time and all thru our stay. They responded very quickly and were very clear in their communications. We were able to check in earlier than stated , which was a nice surprise as we didn’t request early check-in. Their directions for getting into the house and how to work everything was very clear and made it all go very smoothly. The cabin is adorable and was very clean when we arrived. They were completely fine with our family coming there to visit. The location was absolutely perfect for us. It was within 10 minutes of our family’s home, and we were fairly closely located to the different ice arenas the boys competed in. There were several very good options for food/drinks very close by. And the kids were able to ice skate and ice fish right behind the cabin and also right across the road off of Flickabirds. Their checkout process is super easy and they also sent us an email explaining exactly how to proceed with that. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return to this cabin in the future!

We had a wonderful week at Tennelle’s cabin. The setting is so quiet and relaxing and yet very convenient to Cross Lake. This cabin is outfitted with everything you could possibly need for a very comfortable stay. The high quality linens and bedding, the plush bath towels, lots of reading lamps, numerous USB charging ports, fast internet and streaming TV, and really comfortable furniture made for a great stay. The kitchen is well equipped and we cooked most of our meals at the cabin so we could enjoy the lovely views while we ate. The cabin was super clean and well stocked with paper products. Communication with Tennelle was easy and she answered any questions we had very quickly. We particularly enjoyed having the living area and kitchen on the second floor as the views were wonderful into the treetops - we felt like we were in a treehouse! The river/creek was pretty and we could imagine how it would be if Minnesota was not in the midst of a record breaking drought. However, that didn’t diminish our enjoyment of our stay one bit as the setting is still so pretty. We would love to come back in the fall sometime to see the foliage. My husband and I along with our dogs decided to get out of town for a short spring trip up north before the season went into full swing. We found this new construction cabin in the woods that looked perfect for what we needed. Just needed to verify with the owners that it was ok to bring two dogs around 30 pounds each. We were told we were one of the first guests outside family and some details still needed to be done to complete the finished product to the owners satisfaction. That didn’t bother us. It just meant that the grounds are newly disturbed and will eventually grow back and be less muddy and that the cabin is still acquiring additional homey features. We noted the floors were cold and the owner informed us there is a heated floor option but we didn’t know until after our stay and thought bringing slippers was a good idea. The owner was very responsive to questions. At the time of our visit I would recommend bringing extra blankets if you like to snuggle on the couch watching tv or the fireplace. Bring your favorite things for the shower. There were towels and hand soap. There is a large grocery store in town to get anything you might have missed bringing. The kitchen has new appliances and sharp knives where we enjoyed prepping our own meals. On our nicest day we all enjoyed lounging on the deck in the sun. There is a nice picnic table and gas grill ready to go. Very convenient location to visit the falls at the local state parks like Gooseberry Falls.

Such an amazing little getaway!! It is a perfect spot nestled right off of the lake!! The front porch was the coziest spot to hang with the dog and enjoy the day. Perfect location with so much to do in the surrounding area! Amazing access to golfing, hiking, mountain biking on Giants Ridge (would be Ski-in, Ski out in the winter). Located right off the Mesabi trail for paved walks/bike rides. Great amenities surrounding the unit with a pool, tennis/pickleball courts, swimming beach, canoes/paddle boards, and more! Madeline was a phenomenal host - very responsive, pleasant, and accommodating! The unit had everything we needed for our stay! Highly recommend The Hive in Aurora for a great cup of coffee. Town/grocery access were also very convenient. Couldn’t have asked for a better spot for a weekend getaway!! Can’t wait to come back in the fall to see some colors and winter to hit the slopes!!

This place is great! The living space was a lot larger than what I expected. The yard was lush and very easy to walk. The lake is a colder lake although the deck was amazing and the Host does an incredible job keeping a large enough space to swim. Weed free by the shoreline and the water was crystal clear. Great fishing spot also, bass, norther and sunfish right off of the dock. The bedrooms are smaller although there is ample closet space for clothes. The boat house was great! They had a ton of water toys and we loved the swimming mat. They even included beach towels. Linens were by far the best as they provided a ton of linens. The only down side was the kitchen, it lacked pots and pans. We bought some corn on the cob from a local farmer although there was not a large enough saucepan to cook the corn. The only other thing I would change was the thermostat was set at 71 which was a bit chilly for myself and my son and I couldn’t figure out how to change the temp.

If you are on the fence about booking this property, don't even hesitate! The pictures are 100% accurate, plus they offer awesome amenities like fresh chicken eggs, bikes, a fire pit, and so much more. My mom and I stayed here for a quick end-of-the-summer getaway, and it was perfect for the two of us. It is by far one of the most valuable Vacation Rentals I have ever stayed in. There is a train that goes by quite often, but the property is so quiet that you get used to it very fast. My mom and I couldn't talk about the value of the location enough, a 20-30 minute drive anywhere within the area, plus Zippel Bay State Park. Erin and Corey were fantastic hosts; very responsive, polite, and hospitable. They also provided a helpful guidebook with great recommendations for things to do. Don't miss out on this hidden gem!

Our family of 7 had an incredible stay! From start to finish, this getaway was nothing short of perfect. First and foremost, the location is a gem. Little Floyd Lake is beautiful and despite the decent size, was very quiet. All this while providing quick access to Detroit Lakes and surrounding areas and activities. This place is in what I call a Goldilocks area. It is far enough away from city life but close enough to be convenient! We all thoroughly enjoyed the lake. We spent several hours kayaking and swimming and took some amazing photos! The home itself was immaculately clean and very well appointed. From the included amenities like kayaks, to the thoughtful placement of everything from bedding, towels, toiletries, utensils, and cookware, to a tray of goodies for making s'mores, Preston goes above and beyond! There was plenty of space for our whole family and the beds were perfect. We would absolutely love to rebook this place next year!

We had a wonderful stay! The hosts were truly amazing - very responsive, kind, and attentive. The home was spotless and located in a peaceful, residential neighborhood, which made for a very relaxing visit. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed, which made cooking easy and enjoyable. We did run into a minor issue with the HVAC system, but the hosts handled it with the utmost urgency and professionalism. It was reassuring to see how quickly and decently they resolved it, ensuring our comfort. Overall, a great experience and we would gladly stay here again!
