Traveling north past Beavers Bend State Park, the elevation of the Ouachita Mountains offers visitors a breathtaking view of the forest. This drive winds through the Ouachita National Forest along the crest of the Rich and Winding Stair Mountains. Take this drive down into the park and you won’t even have to leave the area to see beautiful scenery and views. This drive winds down into Beavers Bend State Park and takes you over the dam and spillway. If you venture further into the park you’ll drive down through the campgrounds alongside the river. When you’re headed back out of the park on the north portion of 259A you’ll find some pretty incredible views from the spillway and the dam overlooks. You’ll be able to see Broken Bow Lake and Beavers Bend Marina!
