I've been fortunate to live all over the world, but I always love coming Hidden now that one of our homes is in Mammoth Lakes, CA. I also run a small ranch, Honey in the Rock Ranch in the Mojave Desert of So Cal where we have chickens, peacocks, turkeys, goats --and a Rhodesian Ridgeback rescue who has turned out to be an excellent ranch-protector, herding dog, and friend. I'm a teacher, beekeeper, and mom to four rowdy boys. I've loved the same guy, a test pilot, for 25 years and our life together has been a true adventure. I'm the Adventure Refined Travel Team Lead so I'll be available to you before, during and after your stay. We are looking hosting you!

If you're a private pilot, getting to Mammoth by air can save you a ton of traffic and time -- and the Sierra views from 10,000 feet are world class. But for all the obvious reasons like wind, snow, visibility, terrain and turbulence, flying into KMMH can be challenging. I interviewed my favorite pilot to get his top tips for general aviators. Bear-proof your vacation in Mammoth Lakes

Bear-proof your vacation in Mammoth Lakes

Its not uncommon to come across a bear or two when you visit Mammoth. In fact, just last week a bear yanked out the back window of my car and hopped in. He cruised the neighborhood the rest of the week, always evading Mammoth PD when they would arrive.

Dog Day Dangers

Dog Day Dangers

One of the hidden secrets of Mammoth Lakes is that the summers are equally breathtaking, but less crowded, than the winters.  And unlike winter--when activities are somewhat limited--in summers the lakes, hills, trails, waterfalls, and mountain all offer unlimited adventure.
