Meredith is a quaint picturesque village on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee. The town, which is also called “the heart of the Lakes Region,” has always been much more than a travel stop. Hosting one of the area’s most celebrated and award-winning downtowns and winter events, Meredith is one of the region’s most visited communities. Showcasing shops, lodging and dining, as well as the boardwalk along the lake. The M/S Mount Washington and Miss Meredith can be boarded at the town docks.  You can also rent canoes, kayaks, and paddle boards or go on a fun pontoon boat ride.  The town boasts many dining options lakeside, from luxury dining to farm stands. Don't forget the local winery for a tour and tasting. You can pull up your boat to the docks and enjoy your time in town.

Be sure to enjoy the very popular 33-stop Meredith Sculpture Walk, which offers works of artists from around the country in a carefully designed downtown walking pattern. The town is also home to the Winnipesaukee Scenic Railroad, which gives 1-2 hour excursions along the shores of the lake between Meredith and Lakeport. The train is especially busy during the fall foliage season. For over 10 years, the town has hosted the New England Pond Hockey Classic, which features hundreds of outdoor hockey lovers from teams all over the country playing on small rinks built on the ice of Meredith Bay. The February weekend tournament has become one of the top pond hockey tournaments in the country.

Meredith Bay is also home to, the Great Meredith Rotary Ice Fishing Derby. From Theater to hiking and everything in between, Meredith offers every family member something memorable to enjoy during your visit to Lake Winnipesaukee. It's only a short drive to Laconia. Weirs Beach, Gunstock and Ragged Mtn.
