At Vermont Cottage we are the de facto setting for family gatherings, reunions, staff retreats, girlfriend getaways, fishing trips, and celebratory weeks. This lake cottage will draw you in, and wrap you up so you won't want to leave! You will make memories of warm summer days lounging, kayaking on the lake by day, ... campfires by night. We are located in a valley that features 5 lakes. Lake Echo south of us features a wonderful state park. Explore these interesting lakes, swimming holes, & hiking trails!

This is it. The cottage is a relaxing, calming place. It has many "must-have" conveniences with high-quality creature comforts because it needs to be "THAT" special place. You will love entertaining at the cottage because there is plenty of room for everyone.

Perks - Huge screened-in porch overlooking the lake, screened-in sleeping porch overlooking the lake, modern unpretentious creature comforts, generous amenities, well organized, well stocked, allows dogs, private beach, two docks, comes with a canoe and a paddleboat, volleyball court, ping pong table, lawn games......

Bedrooms - This immaculate cottage rental offers six bedrooms + a summer sleeping porch.

The master #1 bedroom comes with a king-size bed, #2 comes with a queen-size bed, #3 a queen bed, #4 a double-size bed. Upstairs: #5 a king-size bed, #6 a queen-size bed, #7 a screened-in sleeping porch with two double beds. There are four bathrooms.

Kitchen - The full kitchen is geared towards foodies, offering guests plenty of luxury amenities. For coffee fanatics, this rental offers a Keurig, a Cuisinart Drip, a French Press, Italian press, Chemex, and a coffee grinder. Additionally, guests will have plenty of cooking utensils and dishware. Plenty of state-of-the-art appliances including, a dishwasher, ice maker, and a pantry. There is a kitchenette upstairs with a full-sized refrigerator and stove.

The land is equidistant between Killington and Okemo, Vermont by historic route 100. Overlooking the entire length of Lake Amherst in Plymouth, Vermont the cottage has beautiful views and is in a great location. There is a spacious yard, a flat and grassy space for kids to play, and a volleyball court. Guests will also enjoy having a large screened-in front porch overlooking the lake!

The area - is packed with fun things to do such as shopping in beautiful Woodstock, skiing/hiking at either Killington or Okemo, Long Trail Brewery lunches, tours & samples at the Plymouth Cheese Factory, and trips to Buttermilk Falls to name only a few. Harry's is our favorite restaurant and is less than 12 minutes down the road. Summary - Quaint cozy 1930's era cottage updated and maintained in a boutique style for its true charm. The cottage is not a cookie-cutter trendy design, but rather old-time charm that is unique for its pairings of old and new. Quirks are included at no extra charge! All you will need are your clothes and food.

July & August the entire cottage must be rented. From September 10- May 15 we offer up the cottage with varying options to rent to suit your needs. Seasonal times and restrictions do apply.

GUEST OCCUPANCY AGREEMENT - All rental transactions are held accountable to the Guest Occupancy Agreement between guest and owner. It outlines check-in and -out times, recycling requirements/laws, cancellation policy, emergency procedures, Acts of God etc. Owner will contact guest to fill out the contract. The contract will be mailed to the guest and we ask it be returned via e-mail or snail mail within 3-7 days. The rental may be cancelled by the owner at owner's discretion if terms are not met. Trip insurance is strongly encouraged and recommended.
