Ollies Creek Nature Haven - Morehead City

Just a 10 minute drive to the beach or Beaufort, this quiet house is located in Sunrise Point on Ollie's Creek tidal bay, with a wonderful view for watching birds and nature from the screened in back porch. Throw the kayaks in the water and go for a paddle, relax with high speed internet and cable, or explore the Crystal Coast - close to shopping, restaurants, the hospital, and Morehead City waterfront. Walking distance to Rotary Park and Puck O'Neal Baseball Field (Big Rock Stadium).

Have a clean and comfortable house to yourself! An awesome nature retreat right on the tidal creek called Ollies Creek. Osprey, heron, ducks, geese and many other coastal birds are regularly within sight behind the house to see! You'll have full and private access to all main floor areas (owner's quarters upstairs are locked off and not in use while you visit) - including a large master bedroom (with a king size bed), and adjoining full private bath, well appointed kitchen, laundry room, living room with a big screen TV and Cable, dining room, and delightful screened in back porch. If you have one extra person, the couch could also be available for sleeping. The kitchen has everything you need to cook your own food, including full stove, spices and kitchen supplies, a bullet for your smoothies, and an airfryer!

This is a private home that is deep-cleaned and shared when the owner is not in town. This is not just a vacant rental unit. Linens and towels provided.

This home is in Eastern North Carolina, near the water. While we have regular pest control visits, you may still encounter a bug or two. The home is professionally cleaned between every guest and bugs just sometimes appear in this region.

Parking is in the spacious driveway off street. Temporary boat trailer parking available if needed. An electronic door lock code will be sent to you after you book, so you can check yourself in and out. We have helpers and friends around to assist locally should you need anything.

We have multiple properties in the area and travel some as well. We may or may not be in the area during your stay - we will not be at the house during your stay unless you need something or we need to come by to do some maintenance. If not, we have friends close by who can also help with all of your needs.

The home is nestled in a quiet, family-oriented neighborhood. Those looking for a nice quiet stay, wanting to enjoy nature, or be close to the beach without being in the hustle and bustle of the busy main streets will love this location. Not a suitable spot for those looking to crank the tunes, let loose, and have a good time with some friends.

Nearby Atlantic Beaches' are pristine, sandy beaches that are only minutes away and feature plenty of recreational activities like Morehead City's sport fishing charter boats, golfing, kayaking and swimming. Search for Blackbeard's treasure at nearby historic Beaufort and watch the fish swim at the North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores. Civil War-era Fort Macon State Park is only a 10-minute drive from the cozy house.

Public transportation and taxis are limited in this area. A vehicle will be needed to get to most places.

Kayaks with paddles available for use (please be careful) and can be launched off the backyard at high tides. Small dogs may be welcome to stay with a $30 pet fee (you must bring your own crate if you will leave them alone for any amount of time) and clean up after them.
