Northern Stays at Rock Creek Cabin is nestled on 3.5 acres in a private-end neighborhood and just minutes away from the St.Croix River that is the border between Minnesota and Wisconsin.

There are miles of hiking trails along the river on both the Minnesota and Wisconsin sides. Bring your canoe or kayak and paddle this beautiful stretch of the St.Croix River. During winter, bring your skis, snowshoes (we have snowshoes available), or ice fishing gear!

Enjoy the cabin life at Rock Creek Cabin or what this beautiful area has to offer. With so many things to do all seasons of the year, this is the perfect place to stay for a quick getaway with endless opportunities for adventure.

IMPORTANT NOTES AND POLICY FOR GUESTS:

STEEP STAIRCASE - For your safety, guests must be able to climb steep stairs in order to book, as the only bed is in the loft, accessible via a steep staircase. There is a handrail and grip mat on the steps for added safety.

NO CHILDREN UNDER 12 - We are unable to accommodate guests under 12 at this time. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation with this policy.

NO PETS - We are unable to host pets at this time. However, trained and certified service animals are always welcome. (Please note, emotional support animals do not qualify.)

COOKING - We kindly as guests to open windows and turn on the ceiling fan to help ventilate the cabin to reduce any lingering scents.

DAMAGE/VIOLATION - A fee of up to $200 or more may be charged for any damage to the property, depending on the extent. Any violation of the cabin house rules may result in being asked to leave the property.

WEATHER-RELATED REFUND POLCIY - Please note that no refunds will be issued for cancellations due to weather conditions. We encourage guests to plan accordingly during your stay.

Other things to note
Things to consider bringing:
- Drinking and cooking water (The cabin runs on well water).
- Charcoal and lighter fluid if you plan to use the grill (We have a smoker/charcoal grill)
- Bug spray (Spring and Summer seasons)

PLEASE USE HOT WATER MINDFULLY: The bathroom has a 7 gallon water heater and the kitchen holds 4 gallons. It will take about 5-10 minutes to replenish.

Fire wood can be purchased at local gas stations/stores. You're welcome to gather firewood in the woods. Please do not break down any live trees.

There is no TV at the cabin. It's the perfect way to enjoy nature and peace and quiet!

A copy of the Emergency Information sheet is under the kitchen sink along with a First Aid Kit.

There is no washer and dryer on-site. However, laundromats are available in both Pine City and Grantsburg. Please check their hours of operation and ensure they have the machines or services that suit your needs.

There are public hunting lands nearby, so hearing gunshots is common in this area. Rest assured, there’s nothing to worry about.
