Guests have full private access to the entire chalet and our beautiful two-acre wooded property. From the cozy indoor spaces and entertaining game room to the relaxing hot tub, outdoor fire pit, swing, hammocks, and gentle creek below, there’s plenty to explore and enjoy!

Whether you’re unwinding on the deck, relaxing among the trees, or enjoying the peaceful sounds of nature, Hidden Chalet is yours to enjoy throughout your stay!

Nest Thermostat Instructions

Our cabin is equipped with a Nest smart thermostat.

To adjust the temperature:

1. Press the thermostat ring to wake the display.
2. Turn the outer ring left or right to select your desired temperature.
3. Press the ring again to confirm.

Heating & Cooling

The system automatically heats or cools the cabin to your selected temperature. Please allow time for adjustments, especially during extreme weather.

Recommended Settings

* Summer: 72–75°F
* Winter: 68–72°F

For efficient operation and to help prevent HVAC issues, we recommend avoiding extreme temperature settings. Please keep doors and windows closed while heating or cooling is running.

Outdoor Deck Ceiling Fans

The outdoor ceiling fans are controlled by the round knob beneath each fan.

* Turn clockwise to turn on and increase speed (low, medium, high).
* Turn counterclockwise to decrease speed or turn off.

Please do not pull on the fans or adjust other components.

Outdoor Insect Zapper

The outdoor insect zapper operates automatically using a built-in light sensor.

* Turns on at dusk and off at sunrise.
* No action is required during your stay.
* Please leave the unit plugged in and uncovered.

Staircase Safety

The chalet has steep stairs leading to the basement. Please use the handrail, watch your footing, and supervise children. Guests with mobility concerns should consider this feature before booking.

Parking & Access

Driveway: Our driveway is steep but safe and fully paved with asphalt. Guests can conveniently choose between the upper-level and lower-level parking areas.

Lower-Level Parking: For easy maneuvering, we recommend pulling straight in or backing into the parking area and exiting the same way, as turning space is limited.

Road Access: Most of the road leading to our chalet is paved. The final approximately one mile is a city-maintained gravel road that’s easy to drive at a normal pace. Many guests find that this scenic stretch adds to the charm of our peaceful forest setting and mountain getaway!
