Linwood Pines Lodge - Sheldon

Located just 2.5 hrs east of the twin cities and 3.5 hrs north of Madison. Relax at this peaceful log cabin along the Jump River. Boasting 3 queen beds and 2 twin size ottoman pull out beds, a full kitchen, bathroom with walk in shower and laundry, and a one of a kind view of the Jump River from our river room. Located just a mile out of town for convenience. You’ll find an easy slope down to the river.

The space
Upon arrival you’ll be greeted by an asphalt circle driveway, a concrete patio with fire pit and large covered front porch. Step inside for the first spectacular view of the grand staircase. Immediately to the left is the full bathroom, complete with stacked washer/dryer, large walk in shower. To the right of the entrance is a full kitchen equipped with full size appliances (refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, electric range) and a large island with seating for 6. Through the kitchen and the French doors is the river room with a gorgeous panoramic view of the jump river. The river room has 4 rocking swivel lazy boy recliners, electric fireplace, and a 66” tv. To the left of the stairs past the bathroom is the main floor bedroom. While small, it is comfortable. An adjustable queen size bed allows you to open the French doors and sit in bed to take in the river view. Upstairs are 2 lofts, north and south. They mirror each other and each have a queen size bed. You’ll also have the beautiful view of the river. The slope down to the river is easy and gradual. The manicured lawn allows direct access to the river. 4 kayaks and a canoe are available for use as well as TONS of other amenities.

Guest access
Guests have full access to the entire cabin except the mechanical room. They also have full access to the black and grey storage shed and brown storage container which contains amenities available for guest use, free of charge (fishing poles and tackle, hammock, cornhole boards, kayak and canoe paddles, etc).

Other things to note
Even though we’re just a mile outside of town, that town is very small, unincorporated actually. Containing only a small gas station/convenience store. If you’re planning on making meals and such, it’s a good idea to stop for groceries at a larger town before getting to the lodge. The nearest grocery store is about 20 miles away. There’s also not much for cell reception once you get within 15 miles of the lodge. Once at the lodge, unless you connect to the WiFi, there’s little to no service.
