Lakefront downtown private 3 BR. Hot Tub. Kayaks. - Madison

Stay in your own private 3 BR, 2 bathroom section of our lakefront downtown home. Not only will you have lake access, but you'll be steps away from amazing restaurants. In addition to being in the Willy Street neighborhood, we are on the bike path and a short walk to anywhere downtown. Don't feel like going out? Take a hot tub, sauna, kayak/paddleboard, have a cup of coffee on the dock, or roast marshmallows by the campfire. Or rent our pontoon (Friday through Sunday) for an additional fee.

You will have private access to the two main levels of our home, which includes 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a spacious kitchen. We have amazing lake views, plenty of natural light, stylish/minimalist decor, a great private balcony and patio table for meals, and an indoor fireplace. You'll also get to enjoy an outdoor 7 foot wide hot tub, electric barrel sauna, the lovely lake access lawn and views, campfire space with wood provided, private grill, kayaks, paddle board, and canoe (amenities included as part of booking). For an additional fee, we rent out our 11-person pontoon boat by the half or full day mid May through Mid October Fridays through Sundays. Per City of Madison licensing rules, we can allow seven adults. But we can allow additional children above and beyond those seven.

You have two dedicated parking spaces and additional free street parking. Please note that the parking spaces are not huge, so it may be a tight parking spot if you have a large car.

Please note that we (Julia, Kristopher, Fritz (8), and Opus, our well-behaved dog) also live in the walkout basement portion of the home. We have a private separate entrance to our private space so you can have all the privacy you need.

However, you may see us walking down to the dock to take out our pontoon or working on the garden. But when you are here, we want you to enjoy the yard space and outdoor amenities. So we try to give you as much privacy as possible to enjoy everything from hot tub to campfires to saunas to the dock and boats. You also have a private covered balcony and grill overlooking the lake.

We are located in the heart of it all, but when you are lakeside you don't even notice you are in downtown Madison! We are:

*A 10 to 15 minute walk to the Monona Terrace, Capitol, and entrance of State Street.

*2 miles to UW Madison

*Less than 3 miles to the Alliant Energy Center

*Less than 3 miles to Camp Randall

* On the bike path near two options for bike rentals.

* A minute walk to the bus line.

*In a beautiful, safe neighborhood of historic homes, lake views, and funky cafes, restaurants, and bars.

Bedrooms:

The main floor bedroom has a Queen bed. It has its own bathroom.

On the upper floor, there are two bedrooms. The first bedroom is the master bedroom with amazing views of the lake. In this bedroom, there is a Queen bed and two sofa beds. The second bedroom on this floor has a Queen bed with a single trundle bed underneath. There is a bathroom in between these two bedrooms.

In addition to this, all the sofas in the house are sofa beds. We also have additional mattresses should guests want to put mattresses on top of the sofa beds.

We live on site but in a space with a private entrance in the walkout basement area of the home. We are able to provide you as much privacy as you'd like, but also here to help you out with whatever you need.
