This is one of 15 units in downtown Madison. The building is a recently restored 1929 Georgian Revival Building. The first floor has an oyster bar. Residents who stay less than a month park at the Wilson Street public parking ramp nearby for a daily fee. This unit has a partial kitchen that has a fridge, microwave, hot water kettle , plug in countertop one burner stove to boil one pot of water, countertop toaster oven to make one sheet pan or small pizza, toaster, dishes, coffeemaker etc.

If you want lots of charm, thoughtful historic renovations, a partial kitchen, everything walkable, amazing restaurants nearby, and attentive hosts, this building is for you.

However, being the heart of the City also means:

-nearby construction (there is building and road construction nearby, with more pervasive construction weekdays)

-city noises like garbage trucks

-paid parking a few minute walk away in The Wilson Street parking ramp

Info on construction: The City of Madison’s noise ordinance allows construction work between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM Monday through Saturday, and between 10:00 AM and 7:00 PM on Sundays. Outside these hours, equipment like hammers, saws, and compressors is prohibited. Lighter activity may begin beforehand.

Living in a historically renovated unit means:

-no elevators

-radiator heat (recently updated) and window ac units (cool the space down nicely)

-paid parking in the Wilson Street Parking ramp nearby

Most people who live at The Wilson stay there for at least a month, so our goal is to house people who can be respectful to those working and sleeping in the building.

We provide a code for getting in the building and information on how to do self check in.

We are across the street from the Monona Terrace/lakeside bike path and right next to the Capitol. In this neighborhood are the best restaurants, cafes, and nightlife in town. Hang out at the Madison Farmers Market on the weekend or walk for shopping on State Street.

We are a few minute walk away from both the Monona Terrace and its associated lakeside bike/walking path and the Capitol. Everything is walkable or bikeable from here. Additionally, pay additional for nearby parking.

Unfortunately we will not be able to accept airbnb guests who do not have previous reviews. However, even if you don't have airbnb reviews, you can apply through us. Please reach out. Parking available at the Wilson Street Parking ramp nearby. One well behaved dog is allowed for $8/night. We allow well-behaved dogs but not cats. Please let us know if you are bringing a pet.
