Minutes from Downtown Gainesville nestled in the trees on Lake Lanier is Knotty Pine Hideaway, a spacious pet friendly 5 bedroom 4 bath log home with a dock on deep water.

We have a 11pm-7am quiet period outside to not disturb the neighbors. We love hosting guests for birthdays, but this is not a house for a large party but for friends and family to get together to celebrate.
Your rustic luxury getaway offers 3 king bed master suites. For the family a gourmet coffee bar, kayaks for guest use, and a game room for those few rainy days. High end kitchen, outdoor gas and charcoal grill, and griddle.

You will step in to a spacious foyer with our welcome table. To your left will be the kids bunk room with 2 twin beds and 2 pull out trundle beds. Linens for trundles will be in the closet if needed. Attached to that room is the main floor dual entry bathroom with tiled shower. Main floor living room has a huge and comfy sectional, gas fireplace, smart TV that is perfect for movie nights. There is also a cabinet full of boredom beater board games. The faux leather backdrop bar area is behind the living room with more seating. Off the living room is the newly updated kitchen with double oven, electric cooktop and all the amenities you need for take out or for cooking a big meal for everyone. Gourmet coffee bar with Keurig, drip coffee, milk frother, cold brew, and flavored syrups. Off the kitchen is the main floor king bedroom with attached ensuite. This bathroom has a fiberglass shower/tub combo. Main floor back deck has charcoal and gas grill, griddle, and patio dining table.

The master bedroom is upstairs and has an attached bathroom. Bathroom has jetted tub, anti fog mirror and water closet that has small fiberglass shower. The master bedroom has a easily moveable desk for a working vacation. Walk out balcony with gorgeous and partial water view.

Across from the master is the loft with kids reading tent, lots of books, and a game table with removeable poker top.

Downstairs has a small kitchen with full size appliances for storing all the drinks! Game room with pool table and pong arcade games. Off the game room is 2 queen bed room with smart tv. The 3rd king room is off the game room with attached shared shower. Walk out deck with plenty of seating.

Just a few things to note, as with many homes on Lake Lanier the deeper the water at your dock the steeper the walk to the water. That being said, I can not recommend this home to someone with mobility issues. Log homes attract carpenter bees, we have a pest control service but please be aware if you have a bee allergy. We are a rustic log home and not a luxury hotel. Knotty Pine Hideaway has her quirks. Her floors creak and she has flaws in the wood. You will even see where someone played darts very badly. We are weekend warriors and do most of the projects ourselves. Its all part of her story and we hope you love Knotty Pine Hideaway as much as we do.

As with most homes at Lake Lanier, the deeper the water at your dock, the steeper the slope to the dock so I would not recommend our home to someone with mobility issues.

Please note that log homes attract carpenter bees. We do have pest service so please be aware if you have a bee allergy.

The house is roughly 300 feet from the dock so most baby monitors will not work from the dock.

Grill, griddle, and outdoor areas are not included in cleaning so please clean after use.

No pets on the furniture and pick up after your pets.

Please make sure gas is off to the fireplace when not using.

There are several deer and other wildlife so please be respectful and don't leave trash outside.

No parties.

We do have 2 owner's closets that will be locked during your stay. One on the loft and one downstairs off the queen bedroom.

Per the county laws minimum age to rent is 25 and max occupancy is 13 guests.

We support small local business so all trash must be bagged and cans must be by the street on Thursdays.

No parking on the street.

Max of 4 cars in the driveway.

We live in a neighborhood with permanent residents so please keep noise down between hours of 10pm-7am.

If we are contacted by neighbors or authorities of a disturbance, guests may be asked to leave immediately.

The use of dock area and any water activities is at your own risk. Children under 13 are required to wear a lifejacket in dock area and lifejackets may not provided in all sizes.

We are on a septic system so please only flush toilet paper.

No cleaning fish inside the house.
