Family Traditions is like going to memaw and pawpaw's house for the summer. This cozy and serene retreat has it all, peaceful cove, beautiful lake views, private dock for fishing and boating, and a home that just gives you a hug. Enjoy your morning coffee in the year round sunroom with stunning views. Cozy up with a good book by the indoor fireplace. The house is stocked with everything you might need so just bring your camera and sunscreen for some great Family Traditions with your loved ones.

This cozy retro mid century styled home is located in a quiet neighborhood with gorgeous mountain and water views on the Chestatee section of Lake Lanier which is perfect for families seeking a place to relax and unwind while still being close enough for a night out on the town. Please note, some spaces have warm and cozy lighting so some pictures have been brightened to best show the space.

The house sits on a gentle slope to the lake, with breathtaking views from the sunroom and the large two level deck. Enjoy the serenity of the woods with your morning cup of coffee while watching wildlife, including deer, heron, hawks, and pileated woodpeckers. A short gentle walk down the path through the woods takes you to the large single slip dock in the quiet cove, close to open big water. A swim ladder provides easy access to the water. Spend the afternoon swimming, fishing, boating, or simply relaxing in a beach chair with a good book. We do have beach chairs for guest use.

Needing lake toy rentals???? We have partnered with a couple local small businesses that offer boat and jet ski discounts. Upon a booking, you will get our digital guidebook link that will have last quoted rates and also promo codes for the discounts.

After a day of play, fire up the gas grill (propane provided) and eat your catch of the day on the deck or in the sunroom as the evening light fades. After dinner, stream your favorite movie and rest on the couch under a blanket or when the weather is cooler, light a fire in the wood burning fireplace and send hours chatting and playing games with family.

Gather in the family kitchen area for a home cooked meal like grandma used to make. Fully stocked kitchen with vintage and functional electric cooktop, electric oven, and microwave. There is a full size fridge and a pantry to store all the snacks. There is a breakfast bar seating area as well.

Our max occupancy is 9 and although we love to host family and friend gatherings, we are NOT A PARTY house. We live in an area with full time residents and while we all love to play hard on the water during the day, night time is for relaxing so respecting county law quiet hours of 10pm-7am is required.

The master bedroom is on the first floor and has a king bed, full bath, and direct access to the deck.

There are two upstairs loft area bedrooms -- one room with a queen bed and one room with a full bed and two twin beds -- they share an adjoining full bath.

A full size washer and dryer are available, and all linens and towels are provided.

A third full bath in the basement is accessible from outside -- great for washing off the lake before going inside.

The spacious living area has high ceilings, a wood burning fireplace (wood is available on-site), Smart TV with cable, DVD player, DVDs, and streaming capabilities. The larger dining table is located here with also some bar area seating that leads into the fully stocked kitchen.

Off the living area is the beautiful light and bright sunroom with couch seating area and small dining area complete with up-cycled table and chairs from the same family furniture.

We do have a couple locked owners closets but the rest of the house and dock are solely for guest use. We have a dock watch company that moves our dock occasionally so they may be on site when needed.

We keep some chairs and lake things in the locker at the dock that you are welcome to use but they must be stored back in the closet after use. Kayaks must go back under the house and we can’t guarantee life jackets in every size so please bring your own.

Like most homes on the lake the walk is going to be sloped and there are some steps to go down to the path so I can't recommend this home to anyone with serious mobility issues.

For parking purposes, we are at the end of a cul dec sac. The driveway is sloped but we have one spot for a boat trailer at the top of the driveway. There is absolutely no street or grass parking (except for boat trailer in the designated spot) at any time. Max of 3 cars in the driveway.

Please leave the home as you found it :)

1. Hang wet towels in the bathrooms or in the laundry room.

2. Put all dirty dishes in the dishwasher and start it.

3. If you added any food to the fridge or pantry, take it with you or dispose of it.

4. Put all garbage in the Red Oak Sanitation bin and take to the curb for pick up.

5. Close the trap doors on the deck.

6. Cover the grill and turn off the propane.

7. Put all toys and outdoor equipment in the basement.

8. Hang the kayaks under the house and leave the paddles in the dock locker.
