Primary access is by private car — the area is rural and low on public transit. The town is highly walkable within the small downtown and market clusters (Live Oak St / Main St) but most guests will drive between properties, markets and nearby towns. Rideshare availability (Uber/Lyft) is limited and can have long wait times; local taxi or shuttle services and private transfers are commonly used during large events. Nearest full‑service towns for groceries and services include Brenham and La Grange.
