Welcome to Dusty’s Place. Conveniently located in the prime area of Downtown Long Beach. Housed in the iconic Cooper Arms Building. Enjoy the beauty of this historically preserved property, including the Grand Salon, garden, and newly update Solarium & lounge, offering views of the city and a peek-a-boo ocean view from our private balcony. Available for 5 days & up to 120 days. Leases over 30 days require a signed rental agreement. Please provide an email for receiving check-in information.

The space

Experience the studio space of a standard hotel room at a better value, with a full kitchen, walk-in closet, and the comforts of home—all without the hotel price tag. Whether you’re on vacation or working, choose Dusty’s Place for your stay. This home was completely remodeled in 2017, with updates made in 2023/2024, including fresh paint & new wood floors. Our luxury furniture offers a FULL size 10” mattress, Murphy bed. Great for folding away behind sliding barn doors, adding space to the living room (for morning yoga or workouts), a sofa w/queen-sized sleeper and memory foam mattress. A full-sized writing desk with USB ports, new 55” Smart T.V., sound bar and fully furnished kitchen with a newer double door refrigerator and freezer, a stove, microwave, coffee pot, toaster, laundry on site and many more. Enjoy the ocean breezes and peek-a-boo ocean views from our 12th floor balcony, ideal for taking in the city below, early morning coffee and/or working on your laptop while enjoying your own slice of outdoor, private space. Included are extra linens, blankets, yoga mat, shopping cart, and beach chairs among others. We offer a parking pass at 555 Ocean Blvd, subterranean parking, just across the street, (car entrance is off Atlantic.) This unit is equipped with an independent check-in and check-out and security cameras throughout the property for your safety. We require a copy of a government issued I.D. prior to check-in.
Items worth noting:
- Parking is located across the street, there is no parking garage attached to the building.
- Community Washer and Dryer are in the building - not in the unit.
- Located on Ocean Boulevard in Long Beach’s vibrant East Village Arts District, enjoy a lively urban setting near restaurants, bars, Convention Center and city traffic—less suited to light sleepers seeking tranquility.
- To help you plan a comfortable stay, please note that portable A/C is provided seasonally from May through September and is unavailable from October through April. Thank you for your understanding!

Self check in and check out. While guests of Dusty's Place, you may enjoy use of the entire property.

Other things to note
WiFi speed at400 Mbps • Reliable internet for streaming, video calls, and downloads. Portable AC unit is only available in the summer months, May through September. If you have dates for lodging that are MORE THAN 2 MONTHS AWAY, PLEASE contact me for availability. There is usually complimentary ground coffee in the studio for your use, tea bags and two complimentary waters in the fridge upon arrival.
