Dunkeld House is often frequented by a family of five Kookaburras and plenty of Kangaroos.
You will almost certainly see Kangaroos while staying here, they regularly graze in our back paddock
The actual view from the back of the block. This is the beautiful Mt Sturgeon. Climb to the top and back in around 4 - 5 hours.. Leave the car at the house and enjoy the walk there and back.

Welcome to Dunkeld House. Beautifully set on the edge of Dunkeld township and the perfect setting for your next getaway with family or friends in the Southern Grampians.

Dunkeld House is an easy stroll into the Dunkeld township and the Royal Mail Hotel. Enjoy exploring the local area, with all of the wonderful walking tracks that the Grampians has to offer or simply sit back and relax, surrounded by the peaceful mountain views.Dunkeld House has been recently renovated and offers a modern, peaceful country setting - we've incorporated earthy timber and Aussie bush tones to really bring the outside in.

Offering three large bedrooms, all with comfortable king size Sleep Republic mattresses, quality linen and soft furnishings. The perfect setting for a group of friends enjoying a food and wine weekend, rest up after a day of hiking or a family getaway. For the adventurous travellers, Dunkeld is the end of the new Grampians Peaks Trail - the perfect place to rest after your hiking expedition.

The bathroom has both a bath and shower for you to clean up after your day of exploration.

There is plenty of room for kids to play and a portable cot is also available.

In the evenings, keep an eye out over the historic red gums for a fiery sunset and spectacular star gazing on a clear night.

We suggest booking restaurants well in advance if you are heading to the Royal Mail Hotel (Parker St Project / Wickens) or The Bunyip Hotel (in Cavendish).

Stroll across the oval to the Dunkeld Old Bakery for a great coffee and the most delicious hot sourdough loaves!

There are two smart doorbells installed, one on the front door and one on the back. These doorbells provide outdoor security protection for the house 24/7.
