A quaint, cozy newly remodeled in 2025 cabin on 60 wooded acres perfect for a couples getaway. 8 minutes to a great downtown for shopping unique boutiques, dining, local wineries, breweries and distillery! Enjoy peace & tranquility in natures setting. Cozy up to a massive stone wood burning fireplace both inside and on the screened in porch. The brand new private hot tub boasts natural spring water and is just outside the door from the cabin and overlooks the natural spring ponds.

The space
Comfortable occupancy for 3 people. Best suited for 2 or 3 adults, or parents with 1-2 children.

Owners live onsite, and our home is across the yard separated by landscaping but can be seen from the cabin, however we give guests complete privacy but are available should you need anything!

The cabin is nestled in a "Hidden Valley" down a long 1/4 mile steep and winding but beautiful driveway. It is steep and windy with a hillside on one side and a ravine on the other. The driveway was just paved with asphalt all the way down in September 2025. If you park in the driveway on left in front of the fence, it is exactly 39 yards (or 117 feet) to walk to the front stoop of the cabin. If this is a concern you are welcome to park directly in front of the cabin door with wide and easy access to pull around and exit - but ONLY when the yard is dry. Our property and drive resemble places like Hocking Hills or the Mohican State Park area but not as hilly as the mountains of West Virginia!

**** If you are afraid to drive in the rolling hills of places like these, our cabin is not for you. ****

The cabin sits just feet away from the naturally spring fed pond which keeps it looking crystal clear and is great for swimming or fishing. The sandy beach offers a great place to lounge by the waters edge. We also stock it with bluegill, bass, catfish and crappie- a throwback rule applies. The cottage is an open floor plan so the beds are in a "common space" with no bedrooms or doors but the large bathroom is private. The cabin has a wonderful large stone fireplace inside & outside on the screened porch, bonfire pit, full kitchen, Cable TV, Flat Screen Roku Smart TV, Blu Ray DVD, wireless speakers, cellphone charging stations, movies, board games, bocce ball, yard dice & Super Fast private Wifi.

UPDATED FIREPLACE RULES! We have a wood burning fireplace. Due to recent damages and neglecting to close the safety screens, we must ask that you only burn "Duraflame" logs in the fireplace and you must close the safety screens at all times and never leave the fireplace unattended. No exceptions. We do not provide these, but you can purchase them at nearby stores like Walmart or hardware stores. Thanks for understanding and keeping our cabin and yourself safe.

A self check in time is anytime 3pm or after. Check out is promptly by 10 am. We do need time in between guests to prepare so an early check in or a late check out cannot be accommodated. Please respect our check in and check out times. We strive to maintain a 5 star guest experience and the time in between guests is much needed to clean and prepare for the perfect stay! If your departure is after 11:00, a $ 50 late check out fee applies. If check out is after 1:00 pm, half the nightly rate will be charged to your account.

PETS- You MUST let us know ahead of time. We just remodeled the cabin with all brand new flooring and custom made furniture and cabinets. ONLY well behaved pets and no more than 2 are permitted. Pets can NEVER be left alone in the cabin unless they are in a crate, no exceptions. We do have an XL crate to use.

Guests are responsible for any damage caused by pets. There is a pet option to add to your reservation.

Additional charges for visiting day guests. No parties or events without prior approval. Please ask us before if you plan on having any visiting day guests as this is crucial for our insurance liability, any guests not listed on the reservation will be asked to leave. Guests are an additional $10 per person per day.

Guest access
You have the entire 60 acres to explore- you'll have pond access, and the Little Killbuck Creek with several natural waterfalls to enjoy.

***We also live in the valley and our home is nearby and can be seen from the cottage. We give you complete privacy but are available should you need anything! We want your stay to be unforgettable and if there is anything we can do to make it extra special- please ask! Please understand that there may be times we need to mow the lawn, weedeat or water flowers during your stay. We always ask ahead of time. Maintaining 60 acres does require regular maintenance.

Other things to note
We provide everything- just bring food and toiletries, hiking shoes that can get wet, firewood, beach towels and fishing gear. If bringning a pet you must let us know at time of booking and add the pet to your stay. The cabin was just remodeled in March of 2025 with all new custom made cabinets, amish made furniture, new floors and appliances. Pets can NEVER be left alone inside the cabin. No exceptions. They must be in a crate or they must go with you if you leave. We have an XL crate to use. Guests are responsible for any damages caused by pets.

We can do the grocery shopping for you if you like for an additional pick up and delivery fee of $25. We will pick up and place in the cabin for you, but please give us at least 2 days ahead of time to schedule.

Winter Months- please note if we have significant snow a 4WD vehicle is the best and sometimes only option to get in & out. If temperatures are below 10 degrees, the cabin is too cold for comfort unless you plan on keeping a fire going, If below 0, we don't recommend booking the cabin.
