The caldron fire pit is a perfect source of radiated heat for cool spring or fall nights. We do provide firewood at the start of the season. Additional wood can be procured within a 15 minute drive if needed.
The hot tub provides luxurious comfort for you and any friends.
So private - no houses or neighbors in sight! Enjoy the sounds of birds and our babbling brook.
We've recently added a fire pit, propane bbq, and new umbrella to the deck. All to make afternoon lounging and evening gathers comfortable.
The house is well landscaped with abundant flowers throughout the spring, summer and fall. Hummingbirds and dragonflies are regular visitors.
Perfect for evening star gazing or s'more making. The fire pit area sits adjacent to the brook and provides for memorable evenings.
On-site parking is available for two cars.
Our little brook is unnamed. It has constant flow and a rainfall will quickly add volume and sound. It fills the senses in many different ways!
Brookside is at 1,800 feet in elevation on the eastern side of Bromley Mountain. Snow cover is constant during the winter months. First snow is often the end of November and cover will persist through early April making for a generous ski season.
Winter on the mountain is peaceful and scenic.
The kitchen is well stocked and you will enjoy the rapid work that the new convection oven does on boiling water.
New fridge/freezer dispenses water and ice cubes while providing plenty of room for your favorite beverages.
We do have some delightful, regular house guests. See if you can find all of them!
The powder room is cozy and functional. It is located off the office and provides convenience for when the Murphy bed is in use.
The first floor office provides comfortable sitting space as well as work space.
The queen-size Murphy bed provides functional workspace and a comfortable bed. Be sure to request that it be setup if you need to use it as a bed.
The office also converts to comfortable bed space with the queen size Murphy bed. The bed is typically in the up position unless requested to be set as a bed.
For larger parties please let us know if you would like the Murphy bed to be set as a bed.

The Green Mountain Room (master) features a King size bed, two closets and dresser for plentiful storage for two.
Cozy sitting space and additional storage is available in the nook between closets.

The Brook Room features a four-poster, queen size bed, sitting chair and writing desk.
Located on the second floor this bedroom is well appointed and includes a writing desk for additional workspace.
The second floor bath is located between the Green Mountain and Brook Rooms serving as a shared bath.
The Maple Suite is located in the lower level with direct access to the fireplace, TV and living area. It also features a spacious and private full bath.
Abundant storage is available in the large dresser and adjacent closet.
This private bath is part of the Maple Suite which provides for comfortable and convenient sleeping.
The Maple Suite includes a very roomy shower complete with rainfall shower head for relaxing start or finish to your day.
The lower level living space features a kitchenette complete with a mini fridge. This adds to the comfort for those using the adjacent Maple Suite.
The gas fire place is perfect for ski weekends and cozy winter nights. The Sony SmartTV has a Roku stick and is set to guest mode that will clear your streaming log ins when you leave.
We provide poker cards and chips as well as other board games for serious game nights.
The game table converts to bumper pool when the top is removed.
The private out door space is perfect for relaxing and sharing memorable conversations.
The front porch is the perfect place for morning coffee. It also eases the loading and unloading process with plenty of room and cover from the elements.
Lunch or dinner on the deck is simple with the expansive private space provided.

This is a very rural area. There are no neighbors in sight. The Green Mountain National Forest abuts the north side of the property.

Modern conveniences can easily be found with a 15 minute drive in either direction on Route 11. Manchester Vermont is a lovely small community with shopping, dinning and recreational options.

Londonderry Vermont is slightly closer and provides a meat market, grocery store, hardware store and dining.

Even closer is the Town of Peru where you will fine a small market and dining at JJ Hapgoods.

Bromley Market has food items and fuel within three miles.

Johny Seesaws has lodge style dining and pizza, also within three miles.

A well maintained car is required for accessing this property and getting around.

During winter weather and wet conditions front wheel drive or even four wheel drive can be desirable at times. Please exercise your good judgement in poor weather conditions.

• Rural mountain setting: Encounters with wildlife are part of the Vermont experience—please use supplied bear-proof trash can and keep food secured.

• Unpaved, well-maintained roads: A vehicle is required year-round, especially in winter (drive with care).
