The beaches here are abundant with beautiful rocks. Hunting for Petoskey Stones can create hours of memories.
Sometimes we get great waves that can make a boogie board or a skim board a ton of fun!
Yes!! You *CAN* see the Northern Lights from Boyne. This was shot at Deer Lake on 03/23/2023
Lake Charlevoix has some of the most beautiful sunsets we have ever witnessed during our travels. This was taken at the marina on the South end of the bay.

Imagine starting your day not in a cramped, dated motel room, but in a tricked-out 43-foot RV of your own — the air crisp, the trees lining your site swaying, and whatever brought you to Northern Michigan waiting just minutes down the road. This isn't just a place to crash. It's your basecamp — for the golf, the water, the trails, the snow, or just the fire pit and a change of scenery.

★ Your Sleeping Sanctuary ★

The queen bed isn't just a bed — it feels like a cloud. A hybrid gel mattress underneath, dressed in 100% Long Staple Cotton bedding on top, with a stack of pillows so you can pick your favorite firmness before settling in. After a full day of adventure, this is where the real relaxation starts. Need more room? Two surprisingly comfortable, memory-foam pull-out loveseats in the living room add sleeping space — 1 adult or 2 kids each, enough flexibility for 4 adults, 3 adults and 2 kids, or 2 adults and 4 kids.

★ The Heart of the Home — Your Kitchen ★

If your vision of an RV kitchen is tiny, barely manageable, with three mismatched forks and plastic fast-food knives, you're going to be very disappointed. Our fully equipped kitchen stands ready for anything you want to cook. Whether it's a quick, energizing breakfast before the big day ahead or a satisfying family dinner after a day of adventuring, you'll find everything you need. Imagine crafting meals with fresh, local ingredients, all with the convenience of a blender, coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, stove, oven, and even a versatile toaster oven/air fryer, as well as a charcoal grill. We stock the basics too — a variety of spices, barware, condiments, and all the high-quality cooking utensils, cutlery, pots, and pans you could ask for. Gather around the dining table for four, or head out to the gazebo and eat at the screened-in picnic table instead, where the food's the same but the view's better.

★ A Refreshing Retreat — The Bathroom ★

Our full bathroom is a clean, bright space stocked with essential toiletries, a hair dryer, plush hand and bath towels, makeup removal cloths, and premium tissues — plus a shower that's roomy, with hot water that kicks in fast. It's a place to actually refresh after a day outside, not just a closet to wash off in.

★ Cozy Living & Entertainment Hub ★

Evenings here are easy. Sink into the comfortable reclining loveseat and let the day settle. It's a great space to plan tomorrow's route, challenge someone to a board game, or just. do. nothing. TV? You bet! It's stocked with real, paid-for streaming: Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, ESPN+, AppleTV+, Amazon Prime Video, and YouTube TV with local channels, sports networks, and 4K — not a login screen begging for your own password. There's an acoustic guitar too, for whoever inevitably picks it up after the second night for a campfire song.

★ Step Outside — A 10-Acre Playground ★

Trees line two sides of the site, giving you real separation from the road without pretending you're in the middle of nowhere. This place has company: deer, birds, and whatever else wanders through. Don't be surprised if you spot something right from your own site.

★ Outdoor Living ★

Start your morning with coffee under the RV's awning. Eat at the screened-in picnic table whenever hunger hits, bug-free the whole time. As dusk settles, gather around the crackling fire pit, built for nights where memories are made. Shared laughter, heartfelt stories, and marshmallows under the sky (wood not provided).

★ Ample Parking ★

Parking is never an issue out here. There's room for all your toys: trucks, trailers, ATVs, bikes, boats, snowmobiles, jet skis. Bring it all. Just know the driveway is steep, so plan accordingly.

★ You Should Know ★

This is a working property, not a polished resort, and that's exactly why it's priced the way it is. The barn next to the RV is a well-loved original structure with weathered siding, and a couple of spots on the grounds are in the works. None of that touches your stay. The RV is incredibly clean, comfortable, and fully set up: see what guests actually say about it below.

★ Why Boyne ★

This is Northern Michigan's four-season playground, and you're minutes from the middle of it:

Ten championship golf courses across BOYNE Golf's three resorts, plus Belvedere Golf Club in Charlevoix. Three disc golf courses within a short drive (Boyne Mountain, Avalanche Preserve, Mt. McSauba). Mountain biking and hiking at Avalanche Preserve and the Little Traverse Wheelway. Real, DNR-managed ORV/ATV trails throughout Antrim, Charlevoix, and Emmet counties. Kayak or paddleboard Lake Charlevoix, the Jordan or Boyne River. Hunt for Petoskey stones at Fisherman's Island State Park or Petoskey State Park. Skydive in Charlevoix. Sip your way down the Petoskey Wine Region's 14 wineries, or stop into Boyne City's own Muskrat Distillery. July brings what several magazines have called "The Best 4th in the North," followed the next weekend by Boyne Thunder — plus the Charlevoix Venetian Festival and Boyne City's PirateFest.

★ What Guests Say ★

"Really fun layout and a great place to relax that feels like camping without hardcore camping. RV was very large and clean and bed was very comfortable." — Shawn I, Vrbo, Jul 20, 2026

"The RV location is the best. We were able to visit 2 state parks (Petoskey and Young) and visit Petoskey downtown, Harbor beach, Charlevoix, Boyne downtown. We loved Gilda's bakery and Petoskey Farms Winery." — Elit C, Airbnb, Jul 5, 2026

"Very comfortable and clean — an excellent experience. Really hope to stay here again in the future." — Elton C, Booking, Dec 17, 2025

"Doug's space was incredible! It was even bigger and more spacious than I anticipated. My mom and I stayed here while doing some hiking on the North Country Trail and we'll definitely be back. The space was extremely clean and Doug was the most responsive host I've ever had." — Lexi W, Airbnb, Oct 26, 2025

"A good mattress is very important to me and that one is. It has plenty of room inside to walk around — you don't feel cramped... we would highly recommend Doug's 5th wheel and will definitely stay there again next time we're in the area." — Jack B, Airbnb, Oct 24, 2025

Hey there! I'm Doug. I am a business strategist, investor, and mentor. The only thing I love more than helping fellow entrepreneurs create success is traveling. Whether to the beach or the hills... on a boat or a snowmobile, if it keeps me busy and enjoying life... count me in! After experiencing so many short-term rentals during my travels, I was inspired to create incredibly memorable experiences for others by never settling for “good enough.” Simply put, I have always loved entertaining guests. From dinner parties to game nights, I show gratitude and admiration for others through yummy food, crafty drinks, and good times! I hope that my desire to marry a love for travel with passion for serving others shines through during your stay. And, because there is always room for improvement, I love and appreciate the gift of honest feedback. So if you feel there is any way we can improve, please message me directly. I'd love to hear from you. Until then… Life is short. Life is now. Travel safe. Travel often. With gratitude. ~Doug

Getting around

If this is your first time experiencing Northern Michigan, you’re in for a treat!

Leave the hustle and bustle of city life behind and prepare to unwind. Think tree-lined country roads, rolling hills, lots of wildlife, and an abundance of pristine lakes—yet with plenty of great food and fun to be had!

If you’re an avid cyclist, you’ll have plenty to experience. Everyone else will want a reliable set of wheels to get around, as public transportation is very limited.
