Welcome to The Nest!
Gorgeous, private, quiet home perched atop the most scenic mountainside in Squamish. Feel like you are living in the treetops as you look out across the entire valley. Incredible sunset view of Howe Sound and surrounding mountains.
Hiking, trail running & mountain biking right from the door. 35 minutes to Whistler.
Built new in 2021, this 2-level home including movie theatre, entertainers kitchen, tranquil outdoor spa with hot tub, sauna, cold plunge and outdoor shower.
The space
Property is private and bordered by big trees, hedging and landscaped with native plants.
Beautifully appointed inside! Everything is brand new as of November 2021 or later: new beds, bathroom fixtures - the works!
UPSTAIRS: 2 beds + 2 baths + kitchen + living room upstairs
DOWNSTAIRS: 1 bed + 1 bath down + games + media room
6 people can sleep in beds; 2 others can sleep on the comfy couches, or there's lots of room for an inflatable bed.
Solidly insulated, with gas fireplace and central heating/cooling ensure comfort: warmth when it’s cold outside, A/C when it’s hot.
Dimmable lights in most rooms and beautiful outdoor lighting for atmosphere at night.
All bathrooms are fully equipped with showers. Master bath has a huge 2-person soaker tub with forest view, rain shower, heated floors and Japanese 'robo-toilet' with lovely heated seat. :)
*Entertainment and amenities:*
The forested hot tub with outdoor ‘mood lighting’ in the trees invites you to relax and rewind after a day out on the trails. Recently added hot/cold outdoor shower and cold plunge tub.
Giant wraparound deck is equipped with seating area for 10+ people, fire pit, BBQ and smoker in covered outdoor kitchen space. Perfect for a sunset glass of wine or evening yoga.
Movie theatre and games room downstairs are equipped with a foosball table, 120” screen, high def 4k projector, sound system, comfy couch, massive bean bag chair, bar area and funky decor. Access to the hot tub area just outside the door, which includes a hot outdoor shower and a cold plunge tub.
Upstairs, the living area has a 65” high TV and high quality Sonos sound system.
High-speed internet, Netflix and all streaming services.

Groceries, pharmacy, restaurants, post office, bike/ski/outdoor stores, yoga studio, gym, *incredible* ice cream (Alice & Brohm), coffee shop and everything else you need are at the bottom of the hill, a 5 min drive away.
Just across the street, the Mashiter Access Road connects to an endless network of trails - check it out on Trailforks (see photos). This area is a bottomless playground for abilities of all levels!
Keep going down along this wide, gentle access road and you’ll reach the beautiful, popular Alice Lake recreation area (~4km) and lesser-known, equally gorgeous Edith Lake (~3.5km). Both are pristine, excellent swimming spots, suitable for families and small children. (We have a bike / child wash station along the side of the house for extra muddy days on the trail! Adjustable hot/cold tap for comfort.)
Public bus service across the street links to all parts of Squamish, and private bus services to Whistler and Vancouver.
While you don't need a car to enjoy Squamish, we do recommend one for accessing some of the wonderful features of the valley that are slightly further afield: hikes like the chief, the Sea-to-Summit gondola, Shannon falls and surrounding lakes are best reached by car, as is 'downtown' Squamish, with its cute shop, restaurants and bars. All are just 10-15 mins away by car.
Other things to note
We have a wonderful, friendly, mindful friend that is living in a suite in the basement that is totally self-contained with a completely separate entrance. You may not even know he is there, and he is often away. Soundproofing is excellent and he never hears our loud music or movies.
