The space
Spread out across three levels of rustic comfort, Wander Bear is designed for making memories. Gather for movie nights in the home theater, challenge friends to a game of pool, or unwind with a soak in the six-person hot tub under the stars. The cabin is equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay.

The Neighborhood

Wander Bear is tucked away yet just a short drive from the area's best attractions. You're minutes from downtown Gatlinburg, the entrance to Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Dollywood, and a wide array of shopping and dining options.

Getting Around
The road from the main road to the cabin is paved. While snow is rare, a 4WD or AWD vehicle may be necessary during winter months.

Cell service can be spotty in the mountains, so we highly recommend downloading area maps for offline use before you travel.

The recommended airport is McGhee Tyson Airport (TYS) in Knoxville, about a one-hour drive away.

Parking:
Parking is available for up to 3 cars directly to the left of the cabin or in front of the entry stairs (optional 4th) car.

Occupancy: The maximum occupancy is 18 guests, including children and infants.

Age Requirement: All guests must be 25 or older, with the exception of children accompanied by their parents.

Pets:
We are happy to welcome your furry friends! 2 well-behaved dogs for additional fee. Please register pet when booking. If you have to bring more dogs please send an inquiry

🌿 House Rules

Welcome! We’re so glad you’ve chosen our cabin for your stay. These guidelines are here to make sure everyone has a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable visit. Please take a moment to read them carefully.

1. Minimum Age

The primary guest must be 25 years or older to book. Reservations made by anyone under 25 will be cancelled, and entry will not be allowed.

2. Check-In & Check-Out

Check-in: 4:00 PM (EST)
Check-out: 10:00 AM (EST)

3. Supplies

We provide a starter set of essentials (toilet paper, paper towels, soap, etc.). You may need to pick up extra items for longer stays. Please use what you need and help us keep the cabin stocked for future guests.

4. Nature & Critters

The cabin is in the woods, so you may encounter bugs or wildlife (from tiny ants to curious bears 🐻). Keep doors and windows closed to avoid uninvited visitors. While the cabin is regularly treated by pest control, nature sometimes finds a way in. We do not provide refunds for critters.

5. Smoking, Substances & Firearms

No smoking indoors (a $500 fee applies if this rule is broken). Smoking is allowed outside only, and please dispose of ashes and butts properly.

No drugs or illegal substances.
No firearms are permitted on the property.

6. Guests & Occupancy

Only registered guests may stay overnight.

The maximum occupancy is 18 people (including children and infants).

Extra guests or exceeding this limit may result in eviction without refund.

7. Bunk Bed Safety

For safety, only children ages 6 and older may use the top bunk. Please no climbing on the sides, jumping, or horseplay.

8. Quiet Hours

Please keep noise to a respectful level, especially between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM (EST). No parties or large gatherings are allowed.

9. Safety & Liability

The property is privately owned. Guests assume responsibility for themselves, their belongings, and anyone they invite. The owners are not liable for accidents, injuries, or loss of personal property.

10. Care of the Property

Please treat the cabin as you would your own home. Don’t remove furniture, décor, or kitchen items. Use appliances only for their intended purposes.

11. Pets 🐾

We love furry friends! You may bring up to 2 well-behaved pets. Please register pets while booking.

Pets must be supervised at all times and crated if left alone in the cabin.

Clean up after them, both indoors and outdoors.

Any damage or extra cleaning caused by pets may result in additional fees.
Thank you for helping us keep the cabin welcoming for everyone.

12. Housekeeping & Checkout

We don’t offer daily cleaning. Fresh linens and towels are provided at the start of your stay. Before leaving, please:

Load and run the dishwasher.

Empty the refrigerator.

Place used towels in the bathtub or floor

Lock all doors and windows.

13. Trash

All trash must go in the bear-proof bins outside. Please do not leave food or bags of trash outdoors.

14. Fireplace

Fireplaces are available from October 1 to April 1. Never throw paper or other materials into the fire. Do not run the fireplace and air conditioner at the same time.

15. Plumbing & Septic System

Please only flush toilet paper. Wipes, paper towels, and feminine products will clog the septic system and may cause costly damage. Do not pour grease down the sink. Guests may be charged for misuse.

16. Cancellations & Travel Conditions

We have a firm cancellation policy. Refunds are not given for weather, road conditions, power outages, or unexpected events. Mountain roads can be steep—4WD is recommended in winter. Travel insurance is encouraged.

17. Wi-Fi Use

Wi-Fi is provided as a courtesy. We have 2G blazing fast internet. By using it, you agree not to engage in illegal or inappropriate activity. Access may be restricted if misuse occurs.

18. Amenities & Linens

We provide towels, linens, and a starter supply of household items. Please bring your own pool/beach towels, as bath towels may not be used outdoors.

19. Damages

If anything is damaged during your stay, please notify us right away. Guests are responsible for the cost of repairs or replacements.

20. Maintenance

Report any issues promptly via Airbnb messages. While we do our best to fix problems quickly, no refunds are provided for temporary outages of utilities or amenities.

21. Severe Weather

If a mandatory evacuation is ordered, refunds may be available through travel insurance (if purchased). Otherwise, we cannot offer refunds for weather-related cancellations.

22. Security & Personal Property

Please lock doors and windows when leaving the cabin. We are not responsible for theft, vandalism, or items left behind. Lost & found items will be held for 30 days; shipping is at guest expense.

No subletting or transferring reservations.
