House Rules
Within 24 hours of your confirmed booking a signed rental agreement is required to confirm your acknowledgement and agreement to the rules, a copy of a government-issued photo ID and a security deposit will be collected.
House-trained and friendly dog(s) over 12 months of age are welcomed with a per pet $100 non-refundable fee; the pet fee is paid separately after your booking through the Airbnb Resolution Center. Our full pet policy is located below in the house rules and in our rental agreement.

Thank you for considering Sweet Sierra Big Bear for your vacation getaway! We take great pride in sharing our vacation home, and always aim for a 5-Star stay starting with good/clear communication. We welcome questions in advance about any rule that might benefit from clarification.
All guests and visitors visiting the property must be included on the reservation, including full legal names of all adults on the property. Occupancy limit at this property is 5 guests and 3 cars. There is no street parking, violators may be fined or towed by City Code Compliance Officers. Immediate cancellation and your payment will be forfeited for unregistered guests, over-occupancy, or excess vehicles.
While enjoying your time at Sweet Sierra Big Bear, we’d like to remind you of some important community expectations for guests staying in residential neighborhoods. We also want to provide tips that will make your stay more enjoyable and help you vacation like a local. The last thing we want is for your visit to be interrupted without warning by a Big Bear Lake Code Compliance Officer issuing a $1,000+ fine per violation along with a $225 fee per Code Call onsite visit. These rules and expectations are permitted by the City and are not set by us. Please review these rules to ensure they work for your group.
1. A required quick face-to-face check-in prior to gaining access to the property. The person that booked the property must show a government issued ID. (Late check-ins allowed: We accommodate check-ins past 9pm with a service fee of $55. A payment request will be sent via Airbnb, fee must be paid prior to check-in.)
2. Do not exceed the stated occupancy at any time during your stay. These do include all times of day meaning no day-time visitors over occupancy limits.
3. No parties allowed.
4. Parking is only permitted in the driveway and designated property specific parking spaces.
5. No Amplified Music: Amplified music is not permitted to be heard beyond the property line anytime day or night. Close windows to avoid music carrying beyond the property line.
6. Quiet hours are 10pm-7am. No outdoor activities after 10pm; other Owners have reported guests receiving noise disturbance citations even for talking loudly outside after 10pm.
7. Trash: Guests must deposit their trash at one of the city's free 24/7 collection sites on the way out of town. The closest site to our cabin is Clean Bear Site #2 – 39690 Big Bear Blvd., Big Bear Lake, 92315. (Additional site: Clean Bear Site #1 – 41970 Garstin Dr, Big Bear Lake, CA 92315.)
If you are unable to take your trash with you for any reason, our cleaners will take the trash upon check-out at a fee of $40 per bag.
8. No Third-Party Bookings: Primary guest must be present for all days of the reservation and is held responsible for the behavior of all additional guests.
9. Primary guest must be age 25+, unless otherwise approved by owners in writing.
10. No smoking, vaping, drugs, or firearms of any kind allowed on the property at anytime--inside or outside. If smoking is desired, guest will need to walk to the public street. If any sign of smoking or vaping is discovered, the guest authorizes the owner to charge the guest a minimum $500 cleaning fee.

ADDITIONAL HOST RULES:
13. Disclaimer for families with infants (Under 2 years) and young children:
No childproof cabinet locks, no outlet covers. You assume all risk and liability for your child during your stay at this property.
14. No standing, sitting, or climbing on railings, fence or roof.
15. Dirty Dishes: Please wash dishes prior to checkout; you can leave clean dishes out to dry and our housekeeping team will put them away. A $40 fee will be incurred for dirty dishes left behind.
16. DO NOT put food, veggies, oil, grease, or any trash down the sink.
17. Guest(s) should not leave the BBQ unattended at any time. Guest(s) are responsible for turning the gas off at the propane tank after use. If the barbecue is left dirty a $40 fee will be incurred.
18. Absolutely no lighter fluid, confetti, glitter is allowed on property. There will be a $100 fee to cover extra cleaning services if any remnants are found.
19. Accidents can happen, please report any damage prior to checkout so we can communicate and set proper expectations for our next guests.
20. House-trained and friendly dog(s) over 12 months of age are welcomed with a per pet $100 non-refundable fee; the pet fee is paid separately after your booking through the Airbnb Resolution Center. No additional animals unless approved in advance with additional fee. Your pet(s) must not be left unattended, and you agree to curb after your pet(s). Minimum $250 fee for any undisclosed animal or not curbing after your dog.
:::::::: PET POLICY ::::::::
a) Well-behaved, potty-trained pets only.
b) Indoor piddle pads are not allowed.
c) No chewers or scratchers – we have a lot of wood inside our cabin that could be easily damaged by a pet.
d) No pets on any furniture: beds, couches, tables, etc.
e) You MUST clean up after your pet: Clean up and dispose of pet waste and sweep/vacuum all pet hair left behind.
f) Any deception about the "no furniture" rules, number of pets, breeds, or temperament are cause for fines or eviction.
g) Please make sure that you clean up the yard from any pet waste.
h) Never leave dog unattended.
i) Guest is responsible for pet at all times.
j) Guest are to take reasonable action to not allow pet from creating a nuisance, annoyance and disturbance to the neighbors,
k) Guest shall be liable for any damage, loss or injury caused by pet. Guest will pay all cost to repair, clean or replace any damage to the property including but not limited to furniture, rugs, floors, walls, doors, screens, windows, window coverings, bedding, cabinets, deck, spa, landscaping, fence, railings and general household items.
l) No unapproved pets: Immediate cancellation and your payment will be forfeited.
Please do not leave your pet(s) unattended outdoors or indoors during your stay. The backyard is completely fenced off, however there may be spaces in the fencing that could be large enough for small to medium dogs to squeeze through. We are also in a mountain setting and there is wildlife that could cause harm to an unattended or attended to pet.
Please be honest with yourself and with us if you feel that your pet(s) may not be suitable for our cabin – please make other arrangements for your pet(s) to stay home.

Check-Out time is no later than 11:00am. Due to sufficient time needed to prepare the cabin for our next guests, early check-in and late check-out is generally not available. A $25 late check-out fee charged in 30-minute increments plus any and all costs incurred by the host for enforcement.
Noncompliance with any house rules may result in cancellation of remainder of the reservation without refund. Fines imposed by Big Bear Lake County Code Compliance for any guest violation of City Ordinance rules are strictly the responsibility of the guest. Guest is responsible for additional costs associated with rules enforcement, including costs of property manager service call to address violations.
