Only steps from Buckhorn State Park, close to Castle Rock Lake and Lemonweir River for boating, fishing and summer recreation; snowmobile and ATV trails in winter. New Lisbon offers local groceries, diners, a few services and small-town character; larger retail, restaurants and entertainment are in Wisconsin Dells (≈20–30 minutes) and Tomah (≈25–35 minutes).

Most travel is by car — area is car-dependent with unpaved driveways and county roads. Local roads connect to County G (Buckhorn) and State/US highways. Limited public transit exists; expect to use rental car, taxi or rideshare from nearby cities. Nearest full-service bus/rail connections and major rental agencies are in Tomah, Wisconsin Dells and Madison. Outdoor access: marked snowmobile/ATV trails connect to the local network; boat launches at Castle Rock Lake.
