Houfy is a great option if you’re looking to save a bit when booking vacation rentals. It’s cheaper than other platforms since there are no extra service fees, which makes a big difference. I also like that you can connect directly with hosts; it feels more personal and straightforward. Overall, simple to use and definitely worth checking out if you want a more budget-friendly booking experience.

Budget-friendly booking experience.

Being able to work directly with a Host feels reassuring and saves me a hefty fee for my yearly 3-month Snowbird rental. The whole process is easy with Houfy.

Snowbird Savings

After being told by the owner that there was an option to rent through Houfy the rental saved both time and money. And was simple to use putting me in direct contact with the owner of the property. All payments were made easily and quickly. I will use Houfy for all my next rentals.

Houfy is the best way to rentals!

It was a very smooth experience with making reservations with this platform. They do not overcharge you with excessive extra fees like other platforms.

Great and efficient platform

Straightforward, easy, very transparent. Didn't feel like we were being cheated/nickel and dimed--great experience.

Straightforward

The Houfy site was easy to use with excellent pictures of the properties under consideration. The lodging description was accurate, matching the pictures supplied and helped so much as I was comparing different properties sleeping arrangements to my group's needs. The host answered my clarifying questions and booking was simple with an immediate confirmation.

lots of pictures and excellent description

I wish more people knew about Houfy — they have an incredible platform with all the same features (and more) that Airbnb and Vrbo offer. You can even integrate your reviews from other sites directly onto your Houfy profile. The system gives hosts far more flexibility: multiple guest payment options, funds received in advance, and easy tools to add municipal taxes. Best of all, there are little to no additional fees for either guests or hosts. It’s a total win-win for everyone involved.

I wish more people knew about Houfy

I recently added my vacation rental to Houfy and the experience has been very positive. The setup and integration were straightforward, and I received my first substantial direct booking almost immediately after going live. I like having another booking channel that gives hosts more control while offering guests a professional and trustworthy way to reserve. So far, Houfy has been a worthwhile addition to my short-term rental business, and I’m looking forward to seeing it grow.

Easy setup and a great additional booking channel

As a short term rental owner, I am always seeking ways to reduce the administrative costs for my guests and Houfy allows me to do just that. It’s an easy to use platform and I’m happy to get started hosting my guests without the unnecessary fees!

Cut the fees

Our listing was easy to create and payment simple to set up. We appreciate you offering this option as the other companies are just becoming so unreasonable for our guests to pay all of the fees. Thank you!

Easy and Fair

An amazing platform for renting out your property. It allows direct contact with guests and charges no commission. The subscription is very affordable compared to similar platforms. Houfy also offers handy and useful widgets for your website. Houfy is the perfect choice for both guests and rental home owners.

Just brilliant!!

Prompt, thorough and real! Great support! As a host booking her first guest and using Stripe for the first time I was very pleased to have my questions answered and my concerns addressed.

MEET YOUR HOST

Hello! I'm Jenny, and although I now live in Southern New England with my husband and our two teenage boys, Maine will always have a special place in my heart.

I grew up in Maine, spending summers at my grandparents' camp on Sebago Lake and enjoying countless days swimming, boating, and exploring the beautiful Lakes Region. Those childhood memories are some of my happiest, and I wanted my own children to experience that same magic.

In 2014, we found our little piece of paradise on Thomas Pond and purchased what would become Camp Dragonfly. Since then, we've spent countless summers making memories here, gradually renovating and thoughtfully improving the property along the way. Our boys have grown up loving this place just as much as I do!

One of my greatest joys is sharing Camp Dragonfly with other families and groups of friends. I genuinely love hosting and am constantly thinking of ways to make our guests' experiences even more special. Whether it's adding a new amenity, creating a welcoming space, or simply making sure every detail is just right, my goal is to help you create wonderful memories that last a lifetime. I always welcome suggestions and love hearing what guests enjoy most about their stay.

WHY CAMP DRAGONFLY?

If you visit in May or June, you might look up to see dozens of dragonflies dancing overhead. I've always loved these beautiful creatures, which symbolize hope, change, and love. For our family, they also serve as gentle reminders of loved ones who are no longer with us. And, of course, there's the added bonus that they eat mosquitoes!

WHAT MAKES THIS PLACE SO SPECIAL

Camp Dragonfly sits on the shores of peaceful Thomas Pond, a beautiful lake that offers much of what I love most about Maine: sparkling water, abundant wildlife, fresh air, and the opportunity to truly slow down.

We were especially drawn to the property's rare combination of a spacious lawn, privacy on both sides, and gorgeous, unobstructed lake views. Thomas Pond is quieter than many of the larger lakes in the region, yet still offers plenty of opportunities for swimming, kayaking, canoeing, and boating.

Some of my favorite moments here are the simplest ones: hearing the haunting calls of the loons across the water, watching the moon rise over the lake, gathering around the firepit for s'mores on a crisp evening, and looking up at a sky filled with stars.

Our home dates back to the early 1800s, and while we've made extensive updates to provide modern comforts, we've tried to preserve the charm and character that make it special.

I hope Camp Dragonfly becomes a place where you can disconnect from the everyday, reconnect with the people you love, and experience a little of the Maine magic that has meant so much to our family.

We look forward to welcoming you!

Jenny
