If you don’t have a listing, go to Create → Vacation rental listing to add your property.

Have the guest’s first name, last name, and email address ready.

Click Create (the + button in the top-right).

Under Choose a listing, pick the property you want to quote.

In Select dates or guests, choose Check in and Check out dates.

Set Guests to the correct number of people.

Under Block these dates on your calendar, choose one option:

Yes to hold the dates so others can’t book them.

No to leave them open until your guest confirms.

8.  Choose the Quote status (how the dates will be held):

Tentative Booking — Dates are temporarily held. These dates will show as blocked only on your Houfy calendaruntil the guest books or the hold expires.

Confirmed Booking — Dates are firmly blocked. These dates will be blocked on Houfy and all connected calendars (e.g., Airbnb, VRBO, Booking.com).

Update Nightly rate, any discounts, and taxes.

Use Add New Fee to include extra fees (for example, cleaning).

Adjust or confirm any refundable security deposit.

10.  (Optional) Click Add/Remove HoufyProtect to include/remove optional damage protection for this booking.

11.  Enter Guest Details: First Name, Last Name, and Email Address.

12.  Add a short Message to the guest with notes or special information (optional).

13.  Set Quote Validity (for example, Expires in 3 days or Always valid).

14.  Click Create Quote to send the offer by email.

Tell your guest to open the email and follow the link to review and book directly.

Accepting the Quote Clicking the link shows a detailed quote page with: Itemized costs. Property photo and description. Guests enter basic details (name, email, phone) to proceed. 

If "Not registered" appears, prompt your guest to complete their basic details — it's required for inquiries or bookings.

Go to Menu › Manage Listings › Calendar.

Add a booking
Click Add (top right corner of the calendar, next to import button)

This will redirect you to create a quote page

You will then have to option to customize pricing and fees if you wish

Provide guest details (first and last names of recipient, email address and phone number(not essential))

Add any additional notes/custom messaging

Once logged in, the guest will be directed to a secure payment page to confirm and pay for the reservation.

Turn on Take payments through Houfy and assign your guest.

Review the quote details. You can adjust rates, add discounts, or remove fees before sending.

Type in the guest’s email address, then click Continue.

Houfy will check if the guest already has an account.

If yes, the quote will appear in their Houfy account.

If not, the guest will receive an email prompting them to sign up or log in.

15. Guest completes the payment
Once logged in, the guest will be directed to a secure payment page to confirm and pay for the reservation.

Guest didn’t receive the email? Ask them to check their spam or junk folder.

Email not found in Houfy? Double-check for typos before sending.

Payment not showing as complete? The booking won’t confirm until payment is processed successfully.

View and Manage Quotes Sent to Guests on Houfy


You can easily find and review all quotes sent to guests on Houfy. This includes every offer you’ve created, with details such as price, guest name, and booking dates.

If you’ve created a quote that you no longer need, you can delete it directly from your Quotes section. Deleting a quote removes it permanently from your account.

Click your Profile picture (top-right corner) and select Quotes from the menu.

Find the quote you want to delete in your list.

Scroll to the Reservation details section.

When asked to confirm, click Yes, delete.

Select the property and the dates you want to include in the quote.

Select the Quote you want to delete -> Click plus -> Quote -> View quotes -> Click on the quote to delete

Go to the reservation details section. Click "Delete this quote"

Find your quote.
Look through your list of sent quotes.
