At Houfy, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy platform for both hosts and travelers. As an advertising platform, Houfy does not collect fees or commissions on bookings. This requires Houfy to focus on ensuring the integrity and credibility of hosts listing on our platform.
The host verification fee is $5.99, paid once. It covers you as a host, not a single property - once you have paid it, every listing you have now and every listing you add later is covered, with no further charge.
You do not pay it at all if any of these apply to you:
You have an active Lite or Premium plan. The fee is included in your plan.
You have already paid the host verification fee at any time in the past.
Your Houfy profile is already verified.
If one of these applies, the verification page will tell you no payment is needed and let you submit straight away. If you are on a paid plan and are still being asked to pay, email us at info@houfy.com before paying - do not pay twice.

Requesting a government-issued ID and proof that you control the property - a recent utility bill for the property, an insurance statement or a copy of the deed. Some listings are also asked for a photo of you at the property's main entrance. You upload these under Edit listing > Verifications, and we handle them in line with applicable laws.
Conducting checks through third-party databases to ascertain the credibility of hosts.
Implementing additional identity verification methods to increase the overall safety and reliability of Houfy.
What it costs you in time: once your listing is complete, your documents are uploaded and the fee is paid or waived, pressing Submit for verification verifies the listing straight away in almost every case. If we need to look at your submission by hand we will email you.
