9393 Main Street, Plymouth

The small town of Plymouth is the "Gateway to the Shenandoah Valley", and is the jumping off point for your wine tasting adventure in the Sierra Foothills. Before you head into the vineyards, be sure to stop in at Amador Vintage Market for a real treat!

Amador Vintage Market

The market is housed in a historic building that we were told once was the town's grocery store. Several of the pictures that line the walls have been carefully maintained from that era, and there are hints throughout the store of all the history those walls have witnessed. The interior of the market building is shared between the deli on one side and a wine tasting bar on the other. There is plenty of seating both inside and outside on the sidewalk patio... perfect for people watching.

The deli offers fresh hot and cold sandwiches, salads and desserts. They make a wide variety of gourmet side salads along with an assortment of their addictive house-made chips. To complete your meal, the market also has a great selection of beverages including beer and wines by the glass or bottle. Order lunch to enjoy on site or take away a gourmet picnic with all the trimmings!

In the rear of the market you will find an impressive display of local wines for purchase. It's wonderful to have these all under one roof as there isn't enough time to personally experience all the wineries in the Shenandoah Valley in just one trip. There is also a display of beautiful, locally produced and imported gourmet food items.

The market can make lunch boxes for a group, by pre-order, and also does catering. Celebrate your special occasion at Gold Creek Cabin and let someone else do the cooking!
