Summer activities
Big Ponderosa is located at Kahler Glen Golf and Ski Resort. The house overlooks the 13th tee of the golf course and mountains. The golf course typically opens in early May. The Leavenworth area is an outdoor playground. There is much to see and do here for all ages. The activities and hikes listed below are some of our family's favorites.

Winter activities
Big Ponderosa overlooks the golf course, mountains and cross-country ski trails. Families come here to play in the snow, ski and see Leavenworth decked out in Christmas lights. View our latest winter video here. Our heaviest snowfall months are January and February. The photo below is a bluebird day in February.
