We had such an amazing time! The host was very responsive and helpful too. All the bedrooms were very comfortable and clean. The kitchen was stocked with all necessary items and our family had a great time!! Thank you!

Our stay at Queenie's had everything we needed. Queenie's home is in a lovely, quiet neighborhood. The room we stayed in was comfortable and did match the photos - we stayed in the room with the dark comforter (there are two bedrooms shown). The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was fine. It was helpful to have a microfridge in the room. Queenie was a pleasant host. We mostly kept to ourselves and we spent most of our time away from the room during the visit. It was really just a home base for us to sleep and shower while we explored the area. We felt like we had our space just to relax on our own, and Queenie was happy to chat with us or just to let us be. Queenie left out a nice breakfast for us one of the mornings with bagels and fruit and coffee. It was also easy to email with Queenie in advance of the visit, and we were able to book the room at last minute. The one thing I will note is that Queenie has two small dogs, which are friendly but very noisy when you come in or move around the house. They didn't really bother us but I know some others might be annoyed by the barking. Overall we had everything we needed during our stay. I would recommend the room to others.

The Cottage on Sunset was just simply beautiful. Driving into the neighborhood, we knew this place was going to be something special. The house was nestled on a dead end, so it was very peaceful and quiet. The decor was perfect and thoughtful and the house felt like we were right at home. Definitely a perfect spot for a family, couple, or even if you’re flying solo and just need a getaway from the hustle and bustle of a city. Check-in was easy and seamless. Gil gave great recommendations for restaurants…Lenny’s is a must! Very close to the home and seems like a local favorite. Do yourself a favor and get the lobster bisque, you’ll be back for seconds. New Haven was a quick drive away if you want to visit the city but honestly there’s no need to really leave the back porch. Take walks along the water during the day and don’t miss sunset! Just wow. We loved it so much we asked to stay another day and Gil accommodated us. We will 100% be back over and over again. Thanks again Gil!

I had the honor of being the first guest in this AirBNB, and with the disclaimer that I am the hosts’ daughter, I shall provide as objective a review as I can. Firstly, it goes without saying that this AirBNB has the nicest hosts ever. They live right next door and you should not hesitate to contact them with any issue because they will be happy to help, and have lived in this area for 40 years so they are skilled local guides with much wisdom to share. The house itself is located in a lovely small and quiet neighborhood on the lake. There are several restaurants within biking or boating distance, although nothing super walkable - but there are some very nice forest trails to walk on in a conservation area just slightly down the road. The view from the house is spectacular and one of the best I’ve seen of a property on this lake. The kitchen is well appointed and spacious relative to the house size, there has been attention paid to outfitting this place with games, books, and stuff for young kids like a playard. The outdoor space is just fantastic for enjoying the lake breeze and water, with nice deck spaces to sit with a drink watching sunset or kids in the water. Overall I highly recommend it as a place to stay!

We had a wonderful stay at Bo & Matt’s beach house. It’s located a block away from the beach so getting there is no problem. We stayed for Memorial Day weekend and while the weather did not cooperate with us, the house did not disappoint! The house has been meticulously renovated with all the right finishes to welcome all the guests. The kitchen was perfectly equipped with everything we needed to make meals for our 3 kids and it was all brand new! The bedrooms have super comfortable mattresses and high end linens. The primary bedroom was amazing and the bath was very luxurious. The family room on the top level was just what we needed to entertain us with all the rain. There were plenty of board games for entertainment and we had a great time hanging out. Had this house been on the actual beach it would have been perfect but this is pretty close! Finally Bo was very gracious. Constantly available for any concerns and she was very thoughtful! We would absolutely recommend!

Although I want to keep this gem of an Airbnb all to myself (haha) I’ll share the wealth and say: This home is perfection! could probably write a full essay on how fantastic it is. I was blown away by every aspect of my stay. Irina was a wonderful host, she was able to be flexible with my needs for the stay, she was also responsive, and friendly without being intrusive. I was here to mix business and pleasure, and it was just what I was hoping for and more! This is a newer Airbnb rental and Irina thought of everything that could be needed during a stay. Not to mention, a very thoughtful welcome basket awaited me upon arrival. It’s clear that a lot of effort was put into thinking of every detail of this home. The hot tub was lovely, room sizes ideal, the decor looks like an HGTV home. It’s my goal to have my own getaway by the water, but until then, this will be one of my top go to’s! I’m actually going to book another stay immediately. Thank you to Irina for a magical experience!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Jason's and Jennifer's beautiful beach home. It was immaculate and very tastefully decorated. Everything was new and every need taken into account. They are excellent hosts and we loved our stay. Very short walk to the beach, and you can see the water from comfortable rocking chairs on the porch. The back deck is huge and the large fire pit is great for cool evenings. Jason and Jennifer were very responsive when we had questions, and they made our stay easy and enjoyable. We especially appreciated multiple thermostats and having a distance between the master bedroom and the other two bedrooms. We were able to accommodate different temperature preferences, and it made the trip so much better than it would have been otherwise. The large TV in the living room was great for showing some home videos. The many windows allowed us to enjoy a lot of natural light. We would highly, highly recommend this place!! Close to Yale. 5 stars!
