Maryland vacation rentals

We were looking in the area for a place with a hot tub and that was dog friendly. We found everything we needed and more. First of all, this home is big enough that 3 or 4 couples can sleep comfortably (Plus two pull out sofa beds for even larger groups.) We only used one bedroom while we were here but I think we gave 3 or 4 virtual tours to friends to show them the space. The game room was a really good time too. We spent hours having drinks and listening to music while playing games. Every room has a Roku TV so you can log into your pandora, Netflix, Hulu or whatever and enjoy it while you're there. The auto log out feature is also nice so you don’t have to worry about logging all of your streaming apps out. Now onto the house itself. Beautiful. Everything was so clean and cozy. The bed was very comfortable and the fireplace really helped keep the living room warm. We cooked a couple meals in the kitchen and there is laundry available downstairs. We were in town right when they started to make snow at Wisp. We spent a lot of time hanging out in the hot tub and watching the snow being blown onto the mountain. Overall a great time. The communication from Brian and Jill was great throughout the entire process. All of the instructions for checking in and out were delivered ahead of time and were detailed which made the whole experience easy. This is definitely a great property that is so convenient to the ski slopes in the winter and a short walk or drive to other local restaurants and shopping. We will definitely be back! Thank you! Nadia and Blair have created a perfect beach getaway. This is exactly the home I would design…if I had any talent at interior design! Bold and comfortable furniture matches the art and interior paint to create a cohesive and relaxing experience that feels comfortable and welcoming from the moment you arrive. Everything in the home is intuitive, and Nadia and Blair have left nothing to guess by providing a thoughtful and informative guide book to the home and surroundings to help guests navigate their vacation with ease. The house is perfectly situated; unless you’re trudging a lot of stuff to the beach, there’s not much reason to drive once you’ve arrived. It’s a ten minute walk to the boardwalk and beach and even less to the restaurants in town. North Beach is adorable and friendly, and while the dining options might be limited, they’re high caliber. If you’re looking to relax and clear your head, get away with your family (or even escape from them…no judgment here!) Nadia’s and Blair’s place is the perfect place to do it.

Very convenient rental in a low-key beach community. We stayed with our 15 month old and our dog and with a few adjustments were able to make it relatively baby-friendly. Bring any baby proofing gear you need like outlet covers, etc. There was a baby gate at the top of the stairs but not at the bottom. We moved a bench there to block it off. The shed in the back can also make a good play area with some minor adjustments. They provided a pack n play and a high chair, and were super responsive and understanding. They also provide a wagon and beach umbrellas, beach chairs, boogie boards and I think some rafts and a beach ball. The fenced in yard in the front was perfect for the dog. It was a very comfortable stay and very spacious. It is walking distance from a cheese shop and coffee shop and the beach and a waterfront boardwalk and a very nice library. There are a lot of dogs and kids in the area and our son loved the library. It has kids programming and kids area. The coffee shop, the bakist, also had some kids play area. It’s about an hour drive into DC. We would definitely stay again!

Our week's stay at this house went so fast with so much fun. The house is CLEAN and friendly, startomg with a nice basket of gifts and a card from the owner tp welcome us. Our group of 12 enjoyed the dual applicances in the kitchen (especially two refrigerators). The huge dining room table fit us all comfortably - important to us as we split up dinner duty among three families & eat in every day. Lovely porch with an overhang with plenty of seating for us all to hang out with books and coffees and other beverages while watching the little kids enjoy the playground/playset. A very short little path leads to the dock where we kept our rented kayaks and on a couple of different days a rental boat. We all played & swam off this dock that is protected from any fast boat traffic. Fresh clean sheets were on the beds and beautiful fluffy towels were abundant. They even provided hotel quality robes in each room. Big pool room (bring your own pool stick if you are serious about the game but most of us were not!) The owners were super responsive for our booking and providing us with the access code when we arrived. They checked in with us via text and were very helpful. The location of this house is perfect. The street is well populated on the right side (lake side) and wooded on the left, giving us lot of deer to enjoy and even a bear that meandered through the yard, much the the delight of the kids. Everything about our stay was positive. Thank you.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Thanksgiving holiday at Mountain Air. The house was super clean and comfortable. We loved all the natural lighting & wall of windows looking out to the woods & wildlife. The beautifully landscaped property was perfect for stargazing at night & morning tea/coffee on the porch as deer wandered by. Although it’s tucked away from neighbors, the location was easy to get to town amenities & local sights. Rick & Amy made everything easy, welcomed us via the VRBO platform and were very responsive throughout the stay. It's always hard coordinating the whole family to get out the last day, so we appreciated the check-out process was not too demanding either. The couches were cozy, bath towels were high quality, sheets comfy & we appreciated not having to worry about running out of garbage bags and dish soap. The wall heaters in each room took us a bit of fiddling to figure out the right temp, but it was nice to have the option to control. I was a little nervous about Thanksgiving prep in a rental kitchen, but they had everything we needed including a sharp knife, garlic press and even crock pot & serving dishes. We got turkey & ham from Arrowhead Market deli, though I’m pretty sure I saw a roasting pan in case we wanted to do our own. Kids played basketball & loved the arcade machine on the rainy day plus the TVs. The hot tub area is protected under the patio, has lighting and beach towels are even provided. We didn't use the fire pit, but wood was stacked in case we wanted to. With all the fun at the house, the kids had to be coaxed into leaving to explore the area. We ended up having an awesome hike at Swallow Falls State Park. The kids also enjoyed walking around Deep Creek Lake State Park, the Discovery Center/Aviary and climbing rocks by the beach. We definitely hope to return.

Mountain Haven is a beautiful home in a very private and quiet location. The 4 bedrooms have very comfortable king mattresses with white duvets, plenty of closet space, plugs by the beds, ceiling fans, nice shampoo and conditioner, decent water pressure in most of the showers, and room darkening window treatment. The kitchen is large and well equipped, with numerous spices and good sharp knives. The hot tub is easily accessed and is nice after a long day of hiking. The game room and fire pit are bonuses; we really didn't use them. Only one TV downstairs, which was just fine with us. We did use the washer/dryer; detergent was there. The large deck was perfect for breakfast as it faces west and therefore was shady in the morning. Harpers Ferry was fun for the historical sites and hikes/walks. The Appalachian Trail Museum was great. Many good restaurants to choose from in both Harpers Ferry and Shepherdstown; most of which had outside seating and were pet friendly.

Beth and Bob are the consummate hosts. If we had questions or needed anything, they were very quick to respond, whether it was updating us on the status of a new Keurig they ordered for the kitchen (there was still a second coffee pot we used until the Keurig's arrival) or running over trash can liners when we ran out in the kitchen. The home is well appointed, and the craftsmanship is beautiful. My three colleagues and I had plenty of space to work (we are educators who decided to leave the city so we could have time and space to focus on preparing for the school year) and to hang out and relax. The house is located at the end of a quiet street and is within easy walking distance of the shoppes and restaurants downtown. Beth and Bob were also generous enough to let me bring my dog with me, and the backyard was a perfect, enclosed space for me to let her get a little exercise between our longer walks into town. This home was the perfect place for us, and everything about it lent to us getting to know each other better and how we want to be able to work together this school year. We are already looking forward to returning next summer to Beth and Bob's lovely Airbnb. You will not be disappointed with your stay!

My group (moms & daughters) recently stayed at the Black Eyed Susan for a long weekend. The furniture was comfortable & cozy with cute decor, comfy beds & bedding, and impeccably clean. This home was one of the cleanest places I have ever rented. The space was more than enough for our group of 5. We made a couple meals in the stocked kitchen and every evening enjoyed a herd of deer that showed up just outside of the huge picture window. The location was convenient to shopping and dining. We enjoyed nearby visits to the Pawn Bar & Grill, downtown Oakland, Schoolhouse Earth for shopping, and a short trek to Accident to grab fresh made cheese at Fire Fly Farms and a special visit to Branch Bender Cidery, which was the highlight of our trip. We really enjoyed our visit at the Black Eyed Susan and would love to stay again.
