🐕‍🦺 Service Animal Policy (ADA Compliance)
We recognize and comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), which permits guests to bring qualified service animals into public accommodations, including short-term rentals. Service animals are not considered pets, and we do not charge pet fees, deposits, or increased cleaning fees for them. However, emotional support animals (ESAs), comfort animals, and therapy animals are not recognized as service animals under the ADA in the state of Texas, and are therefore subject to our standard pet rules, fees, and approvals. To determine whether your animal qualifies as a service animal under the ADA, we are legally allowed to ask the following two questions:Is the animal required because of a disability?
What specific work or task has the animal been trained to perform?
Please note:A service animal must be individually trained to perform tasks directly related to a person’s disability.
The animal must be under control at all times (harnessed, leashed, or tethered unless the disability prevents it, in which case voice or signal control is required).
Service animals may not be left alone in the property at any time.Guests remain liable for any and all damage caused by themselves or their service animal, including any required cleaning, repair, or pest control resulting from the animal’s presence.🚫 Misrepresentation Notice: Knowingly misrepresenting a pet as a service animal is a violation of Texas law (Texas Health and Safety Code § 437.023). If it is determined that a guest has falsely claimed a pet as a service animal:A fine of $500 per incident per day may be imposed.
We reserve the right to evict the guest(s) without refund.
Fraudulent claims may be reported to local authorities.Thank you for helping us maintain a respectful, safe, and legally compliant environment for all guests.
