The traffic on check-in and check-out days can be an issue if you have a deadline. With a little prior planning, you can avoid getting stuck on the bridge, at the toll booth, or on a jam on the Interstate.

To begin with, know the patterns. Check-in and check-out on Pensacola Beach is usually on Saturdays in high season and spring break. If you are arriving on an alternate day, you probably won't have too long of a delay. The check-in times vary, but most are around 4 p.m. with many being earlier. If you plan to arrive right at check-in (4 p.m. for Tiki House), you will spend time sitting there on the highway, bridge, or main road when you could be sitting on the beach. Instead, plan to arrive on the beach in the morning and spend the time at the public beach, shopping at the boardwalk, or enjoying a cool drink at the local waterside restaurant or bar. We will send you a text when the house is ready. Sometime our cleaners can get the home turned over early. If they do, we will allow you to check-in as soon as they do. Or if you can't get there early, try checking the traffic on Google, Waze or the Pensacola Beach Traffic site, and stop on the way until well after check-in. The traffic tends to clear by 7 p.m.

To avoid getting stuck in traffic leaving Pensacola Beach, try leaving early. Most check-out times on the beach are 10 a.m. -11 a.m. If you can get on the road by 8 a.m., you will miss much of the traffic. But again, check Google, Waze or the traffic page for up to the minute delays.
