Beautiful, spacious, farmstay with fireplace, outdoor seating and views.
500 Sqft Barn/Farmhouse hosted by Donna
4 Guests . 1 Bedroom . 1 Bathroom

Artistically renovated with a quiet, expansive view of our organic farm. The bathroom features a large mosaic you walk into. The sound of the coastal breezes rustling through the surrounding trees greet you at the entry way to your private get-a-way that is on the first floor of the original farmhouse. Steps from your front door is your private, two-person hottub that we empty, clean, refill and heat for each guest stay. Enjoy a class of wine and sun in your private "beach," or read a book and enjoy the view. There’s a small dining table in your garden which is a great place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee and check your email. Great wifi, TV is smart so you can log into your Netflix/Hulu/etc. account. Eat-in kitchen seats 4. We provide a starter Duralog with each reservation. Not a single tree is cut down to make a Duraflame log. Only this kind of no-spark, ecological logs can be burned in the home's fireplace at this time; due to the heightened fire hazards in Southern California. Short walk to our daily Goat Interaction and the corral that is home to our goat herd.
No shared spaces. Whimsical is our largest one bedroom offering on our farm and is situated on the first floor of the original farmhouse. Mini splits heat and cool the space. Our peacocks favor Whimsical’s garden, so you'll likely see them admiring themselves in the glass front door or relaxing on the railings. The fireplace is wood burning only; not gas. The kitchen has a replica vintage stove with all the modern conveniences like convection baking. The refrigerator/freezer is undercounter. Coffee maker, popcorn maker, rice maker, Cuisinart, pots, pans, and utensils are provided. The replica vintage stove offers all the modern conveniences such as convention baking and automatic ignition. Maximum occupancy is four: Queen bed (Tuft and Needles mattress) and a FULL (smaller than a Queen) pull out sofa with a topper to make it more comfortable. (Still…most adults will find a sofa bed less comfortable than a regular bed.) When you enter, the living area and Queen bed with fireplace are in the same room. The large bathroom and walk in closet, and small kitchen are separate and have doors. So although this sleeps a maximum of four guests…it may not be ideal for two couples. Plenty of floor space for a pac n play. All sheets and towels are provided, along with breakfast items stocked in your kitchen. (Coffee, tea, cream, sugar, bagels, cream cheese, butter and eggs.) Gather more eggs if you like, from the farm’s flock.

What To Do
• There’s a lot to do on the farm for those that would like to participate. We offer a free hosted Goat Interaction each afternoon at feeding time. Our free ranged peacocks and the area bunnies all come to join in the fun.
• Gather chicken eggs, or just enjoy our friendly flock’s appreciation for your left overs or treats.
• We offer private classes conducted in your kitchen or garden: Ice Cream Churning, Jam Making, Cheese Making, Bread Making and a fun Acrylic Pour Art Class. Priced from $140-$145.
• Horse stables across the road from us; consider booking ahead of time to secure your time.
• Roadrunner Winery is also across the road from us, walk or drive to their family friendly, casual tasting room.
• Walk the Santa Margarita River trail. The seasonal tributary that flows through our farm connects to this river. The trailhead is 20 minutes away through the cute, artsy town of Fallbrook. Bring backpacks for water and a picnic.
• Our Activity Guide includes a comprehensive list of breweries and tasting rooms in the area. Make your own itinerary, or join a tour listed in our guide.
• Ballooning is a favorite in nearby Temecula.
• We’re 30-40 minutes away from Oceanside’s beaches.
• Old Town Temecula is a favorite of visitors, from the large Saturday farmers’ market, to galleries, shops, antiques and cafes and more. Just one exit north of us.
• Our reservation software sends our awesome activity guides to all prospective guests who make an inquiry.

Guest interaction
There's always someone on the farm, it's easy to contact one of us if you have a need or inquiry. We're eager to make your stay memorable!

Neighborhood overview
Right in the center of Wine Country, the closest winery is walking distance, (Roadrunner Winery) while traveling either one exit south or one exit north gives you access to numerous winery and brewery options! The trail head to Southern California's only year-round flowing river (Santa Margarita) is a short drive away in Fallbrook, and offers a mostly flat hike along its banks for guests of all ages. From February through end of summer, Kenny's U-pick Strawberry farm is a local favorite, and is just down the road. And most days, balloon rides are available in nearby Temecula. People from all over Southern California make a day of visiting our family-friendly Rainbow Oaks Restaurant, and for a romantic evening out, a short distance further is Cork Fire Restaurant on the grounds of the Temecula Creek Inn. Currently, it’s best to call ahead to confirm that a business is open for business.

Getting around
There is no public transportation available, so your own vehicle is essential. Uber or Lyft are available, if you'd like to visit wineries without driving. (Call ahead if this is a critical component of your stay as local businesses have been affected by the current shutdown.) Our Activity Guide sent with all reservation confirmations.
Other things to note
The property is perched on an ocean-influenced hillside and requires the ability to safely climb the dozen or so steps to the front door. If you're traveling with more than 4 guests, you can also reserve another home (there are a total of 4) on the farm. No smoking inside any of our properties so we can accommodate guests who have sensitivities to smoke. We provide sand buckets for outside smoking.

Wow...this is as tough as a job interview. Who am I? I really enjoy meeting different people, and count myself lucky to get to share this little slice of farming paradise with lots of well traveled guests. A confirmed Foodie, my original interest in growing things was for my own table. So a lot of what we grow here at Morning Song Farm is rare and unusual; dragon fruit, mulberries, macadamias, guavas, loquats, sapote, Carissa plum and kumquats. My shelves are proof of my eclectic tastes, including organic gardening books, mediation, political history, economics and numerous cheese making books which has become a focus for about a decade now. I teach it here for those that would like to discover how easy it is to make your own cheese! Just ask.
Aesthetics are important to me, I've worked hard to transform our farm into something beautiful...although it's an ongoing fight against the dark forces of weeds and derelict farm equipment. Friends say staying here is very relaxing, the skies are often filled with stars you can't see in the city, and although city-close, it feels like we're far, far away. I need that solitude, as many of our visitors will attest to, it's restorative.
