Escape to Your Hacienda Retreat - a spacious 1,500 sq/ft ranch-style home that feels like a slice of paradise. Bathed in natural light from large windows, skylights, and sliding glass doors, this 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom vacation rental offers a joyful ambiance throughout.

Step into the inviting great room, where the living and dining areas seamlessly blend with a fully furnished wrap-around kitchen. Sink into the super soft sectional sofa for cozy evenings by the fire or movie nights. Enjoy breakfast at the breakfast bar, or head out to the covered back patio through the sliding glass doors, where a table and grill await you. The bedrooms are thoughtfully designed with Hybrid Gel Infused Memory Foam and Pocket Spring Mattresses, triple sheeting, and plenty of extra pillows for a restful sleep. In the master suite, indulge in a jet spa tub, while the south bathroom offers a marble tub and a spacious walk-in shower. TVs are available in the master and kid's rooms, and ample closet space ensures you feel at home.

Nestled on a generous nearly acre-sized lot, this property offers tranquility with mature trees, paved and bricked patios perfect for morning Sun Salutations, and lush desert vegetation for added privacy. The neighborhood enjoys the peace of undeveloped land on two sides and the Santa Cruz wash on the third, creating a safe and friendly atmosphere.

Entertainment options include streaming capable TV's in the great room, master bedroom, and kid's room. Feel free to use your own streaming services, as cable and local TV are not provided.

To ensure security, the entrances and exterior of the house are monitored by security cameras, but your privacy is respected indoors. RV travelers are welcome with ample parking space, though no connections are available at this time.

Reach Rancho Hermoso easily off the freeway frontage road south of the Congress St exit, just turn right on 18th St to Kroeger Ln and your destination. Enjoy quick car access along I-10, into downtown, 4th Avenue & University areas, and across town on Aviation Highway (210).

Prefer to walk or bike? The Santa Cruz River loop runs just behind the property (access from the 19th street park), taking you north or south through town, or arrive quickly at stops for the Modern Street Car (Trolley) and the San Augustin Mercado district with multiple dining and shopping options.

While not onsite, we are available 24/7 for your needs and have local staff available to come onsite if needed.

Rancho Hermoso lies in the unique and exclusive niche neighborhood of Barrio Kroeger Lane, surrounded by historic Menlo Park, just minutes on foot from Mercado San Augustine and the Modern Street Car, and backing up to the Santa Cruz River loop, a favorite for biking, running, or hiking through its 53.9 miles of paved pathways along both sides of the Santa Cruz River and connecting with the Rillito, Pantano, Harrison Greenway and Julian Wash.

With easy access just off I-10, you're steps way from one of the best taquerias in town (Sonoran Delights with the fabled Sonoran Hotdog, authentic tacos and dinners, Raspados and Escamoches!), the Mercado San Augustine and it's MNA Annex with multiple restaurants, stores, and bike rentals. Plus with the modern street car a 10-minute walk away you're connected to all that's cool about Tucson and it's Downtown, 4th Ave and University Districts.

This sliver of a neighborhood enjoys being peacefully surrounded by undeveloped land on two sides, and the Santa Cruz wash on the third. The few neighbors here are primarily long time home owning families on their own generous lots.

Barrio Kroeger Lane Neighborhood is located below Sentinel Peak-- "A" Mountain-- along the Santa Cruz River, De Anza Trail, and across from the original birthplace of Chuk Shon (Tucson in the Tohono O'odham language). This land has been inhabited and cultivated for more than four-thousand years, and remains with a rural environment of horse/farm animals, wildlife corridor, and gardening. Families have lived in the same area for up to six generations, with stories of the flowing river and the continuation of horseback riding along the river banks much as Padre Kino did centuries ago.

Rancho Hermoso is easily reached off the I-10 Freeway Frontage Rd. There is plentiful free onsite parking inside the fenced property. The Santa Cruz River Loop provides pedestrian or bike access to nearby Mercado San Augustin and trolley & bus stops, as well as major cross streets and connecting to Rillito, Pantano & other river park pathways.

Rancho Hermoso uses gray water and as such no dying or other hair treatments, or other chemicals, may be used at the sinks.

No wipes of any kind, may be flushed in toilets. Toilet paper ONLY is allowed.

To keep cleaning fees low and Rancho Hermoso affordable for stays of all lengths, guests are expected to clean up obvious messes, leave few uncleaned dishes, and assist with linens by stripping beds and beginning a first load of laundry before departure. Guests are also responsible for cleaning and storing properly any amenities used, including indoor fireplace, patio tables, chiminea, and grill, or asking for our free assistance to do so.

Rancho Hermoso offers both a moderate, and a discounted, non-refundable cancellation policy. If you select the optional, discounted non-refundable option, please be aware that refund will not be made under any circumstance, including medical or family emergencies.

Any pets must be disclosed when booking. Pets not disclosed but present will incur a fee of $100.

Any amenities used (grill, patio table, chiminea, etc.) must be cleaned and put away. Guests with pets must clean all animal waste from yards. A charge will be applied as follows if the cleaners must do any of these:
Dog poop in the yard - $25
Fireplace not emptied and cleaned - $20
Chiminea not emptied and covered - $20
Grill not cleaned and put away with cover - $20
Cigarette Butts in the yard -$15
Excessive trash in yard - $15

Alternately, if you want a stress free vacation with no clean up, let us know in advance and we can adjust the cleaning fee and cleaner's schedule to accommodate!
