This private cottage is perfect for a solo traveler up to a small family. It is freshly renovated with antique touches. Dog & kid friendly!

Lounge on the Queen size bed, couch or play board games around the table- there is plenty of seating available to relax and let stress slip away in this quaint 600 square foot area. You get the entire studio.

THE PLEASANT COTTAGE FEATURES:

-A private Bathroom –Shower, Toilet & Sink with Shampoo/Conditioner/Soap/Towels.

-A Kitchenette- with a vintage fridge (there is a tiny freezer, big enough for a half gallon of ice cream), microwave, small waffle maker, and toaster (no oven- but a hot plate and pan/small pot are provided, as well as electric skillet).

A hot water kettle and a drip coffee maker is provided with coffee, hot cocoa and tea. We have fully stocked cupboards with dishes, glasses, wine glasses and essentials.

SLEEPING:

-THIS IS A STUDIO- NO SEPERATE BEDROOM. This space is made for 2 but works for a family and can sleep up to 4. This is a great location for a solo traveler, couple, a small family, but could fit 4 adults if you really like each other:) note, the bed is a queen and we have a few single mattresses.

The main bed is a queen size bed with a brand-new memory foam mattress and freshly cleaned linens (a single, rollaway memory foam bed- which is level with the couch for a bigger bed or a twin mattress for the floor are also available)

Enjoy a beautiful bonfire outside with a propane grill available to use, along with a picnic table. We have also added a nice wooden swing next to bonfire pit. You may be surprised at the number of golf carts driving around our beautiful and neighborhood!

Please note that the cottage is nestled in the country, in a quiet community with plenty of friendly neighbors. Please be considerate about noise levels. Quiet hours are 10PM-7AM, no exceptions.

Now that we know this is an amazing property, let’s talk about the LOCATION...We are in a remote location in the country.

In the summer, enjoy the public beach that is only about an 8-minute walk away at the Pleasant Lake Campground and County Park with a huge playground. Dogs are allowed at beach on a leash. Per DNR, dogs can't be in the swim area when there are swimmers in it. They can go in the booey sections if swimmers in swim area.

In the winter, the lake typically freezes over and the locals enjoy ice fishing, bonfires and snowmobile races on the ice.

The park features a fantastic playground and beach area. There is also a public marina ($10 launch fee) available at the lake on the other side. Our lake is 269 acres and great for fishing, swimming, or boat cruises. There is a 2 person kayak that may be available for rent for $25.

FYI-Our property does have cameras outside.

LOCAL THINGS TO DO:

***Due to the location, food delivery options are very limited (2 pizza places). There is a restaurant (Hankerd Hills) just around the corner.

-Located 10 miles north of Jackson, this property is walking distance to the popular Hankerd Hills Golf Course and Restaurant featuring 27 holes and 3 unique nines for every player. Hankerds serves up 3 meals a day and has a gorgeous outdoor patio with live music on select Thursday nights in summer.

-There are some fantastic restaurants not too far....Rocky Top BBQ, Sakura Thai and Sushi and Acapulco Mexican Grill are less than 15 miles. Tons of places to check out in Jackson as well.

-The property is also located less than 3-minute drive to the Lost Shoe Tavern and there are also a few wineries and a cidery less than 15-minute drive.

- Enjoy hiking the short trail at Meridian-Baseline Historic State Park – 5 minute drive. Phyllis Haehnle Memorial Sanctuary 15 minutes away. There are additional hiking opportunities in Chelsea, etc.

-We are a short distance to many larger towns- Jackson is a 20 minute drive, Lansing is a 35 minute drive and Ann Arbor is a 45 minute drive.
