We are a pet-free rental by default, but exceptions may be made with prior written approval. If your pet is accepted, a non-refundable pet fee will apply. This is consistent with standard short-term rental practices and helps cover the additional cleaning and maintenance required after a pet stay. In some cases, a refundable damage deposit or a temporary hold on your credit card may also be required to cover any unexpected damage. By bringing a pet, you agree to take full financial responsibility for any damage, excessive cleaning, or policy violations that occur as a result of your pet’s stay. Pet Policy for Short-Term Rental (STR)
1. Pet Fee & Pre-Approval Required
- All pets must be approved *in writing* before booking or arrival.
- A non-refundable pet fee of $50 per pet applies.
- Cost for additional cleaning &/or repairs are the responsibility of the guest.
2. Limitations
- Maximum: 2 pet(s)
- Weight limit: 60 lbs
- Only well-behaved, house-trained dogs allowed (no puppies under 12 months, cats, or exotic animals).
3. Pet Behavior & Supervision
- Pets must be **supervised at all times**. If they are crate trained and well-behaved, they may be left unattended in a crate to allow for short outings without them. Otherwise, please make arrangements to have them boarded.
- Barking, scratching, chewing, or aggressive behavior is not tolerated.
- No excessive noise that could disturb neighbors.
4. Furniture & Bedding
- Pets are **not allowed on furniture or beds**. Bring your own pet bed/blanket.
- Additional cleaning fees &/or replacement of linens/furniture will be charged if pet hair or damage is found.
5. Cleaning & Waste Disposal
- Guests must pick up and properly dispose of **all pet waste**. All waste bags must be disposed of inside of a kitchen size trash bag due to trash pick-up rules.
- Any indoor accidents must be properly cleaned immediately.
- Additional cleaning fees will apply if waste is left behind indoors or outdoors.
6. Fleas, Ticks & Vaccinations
- By booking, guest agrees that their pets are up to date on **flea/tick prevention** and vaccinations.
- If evidence of fleas are found post-stay, guest is responsible for pest treatment costs.
7. Damage Responsibility
- Guest assumes **full financial responsibility** for any pet-related damage (scratches, urine, chewing, etc.)
- Damages exceeding deposit or pet fee will be charged to the guest.
8. Restricted Areas
- For the safety of the basement tenants pet, guests pets are not allowed in the fenced in area or in the back yard.
- Keep pets leashed outside and supervised at all times.
By booking and paying to rent this property, you (the “Guest”) agree to all terms and conditions outlined here. This agreement is legally binding under Georgia law. The booking party is responsible for ensuring all members of their group comply with this agreement.
