This cozy rental is located on the ground floor of a duplex owned and occupied by the owner. Enjoy the comfort of a spacious 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom unit with a fully equipped kitchen, all accessible through a private entrance. This home is part of a group of charming spec houses built shortly after the 1900 storm. Beach setup information can be found in the "Other Details to Note" section.
The kitchen comes fully equipped with all the necessary utensils for preparing meals if you opt to stay in. Additionally, grilling utensils are available for the outdoor grill. While a charcoal grill is provided, please note that charcoal itself is not included. There might be some charcoal left over from previous guests, though.
You'll find both a Keurig coffee maker, complete with a starter pack of regular K-cups, no deaf, and a 4-cup drip coffee maker at your disposal, coffee not provided. Stay connected with our complementary Wi-Fi and enjoy entertainment through the streaming Roku TV. During tranquil evenings, the soothing sound of the Gulf waves is audible.
Rest assured, all linens are provided; however, please be aware that daily cleaning and laundry services are not offered. If you're heading to the beach, remember to bring your preferred beach towel, as the house towels are intended to remain within the unit.
IMPORTANT DETAILS:
*No Unauthorized Guests*
ALL guests occupying the home must be disclosed prior to arrival. For emergency and insurance purposes, we must have an accurate count of all guests on the reservation. Unauthorized guests will result in an added fee of $125.00/guest/night and a cancellation of the reservation.
*Hazardous Waste*
In case the cleaning staff encounters the need to dispose of hazardous waste following your departure, a hazardous disposal fee of $150 will be applied. This includes, but is not limited to, substances or residues related to drugs, paraphernalia, bodily fluid, cigarette butts, etc.
*No Events, Gatherings or Parties*
This is not a party property; an additional party fee of $400 will be assessed and your reservation will be immediately canceled without refund.
All interior areas of the downstairs unit are accessible, except for the owner's closets. The unit features a covered front porch and a gated back patio. Please note, the larger yard is reserved exclusively for the owner's use. The back bedroom door is for emergency use only.
We are present on the premises for the majority of the time and genuinely enjoy connecting with individuals. However, we highly value the privacy of our guests. Please use the designated platform for communication, except in urgent situations where a phone call is necessary.
I am generally available to respond to messages from 8 am to 9 pm, including weekends and holidays. If you contact me outside these hours, I will address your message the following day. Managing multiple listings is a responsibility I uphold, and this approach helps maintain organization.
During evenings, you'll often find us relaxing on the front balcony, occasionally enjoying a beverage. Please don't hesitate to drop by and greet us if you'd like. We're always open to a friendly chat!
We do have an awesome BBQ place around the corner in our neighborhood, called Pennies. Check them out on Yelp. Melt in your mouth brisket sandwiches. Also Shrimp and Stuff, great neighborhood restaurant. Rest of the area is basically residential homes.
Walking is a favorite way many guests get around, to the beach, local restaurants, etc. The trolleys are back in operation! The info on them can be found by searching Galveston trolley. Other than that, it is either car, bike or golf cart. There are places to rent golf carts and other fun vehicles on the island. Be sure to download the paybyphone app and load your info ahead of time.

Easy Check-In Process for your rental agreement, ID verification, & security hold
This property has special local compliance requirements which include a signed rental agreement, ID verification, and a security hold of $1000 (which is not a traditional security deposit, just a pending transaction). As an optional alternative to the security hold, you may opt in to purchase a non-refundable damage waiver provided by a third-party insurance company. The optional damage waiver is $40 for stays up to 10 nights, with an additional $2 per day for stays longer than 10 nights. Damage waiver purchases are optional.

It is not an app, and you do not have to sign up for an account - it’s a safe and secure website. It also gives you a guest portal with all the info about the home and all of my favorite local spots.

The pass gives you access to Porretto Beach at 10th & Seawall. Just show the pass at the gate, park right on the beach, and enjoy one umbrella and two chairs reserved just for you.
Have more than two guests? No problem—you can rent an extra umbrella or bring your own chairs. You can even call ahead to reserve your spot.
The pass is valid any day during your stay from 9 AM to 5 PM, with full in & out privileges. You’re welcome to bring your own food and drinks, or order food from the beach staff and have it delivered (food not included).
Just be sure to return the pass to the unit before checkout—a missing pass will be charged to the guest.
