This cozy cabin adjoins the Pisgah National Forest with 800 feet of private access to Buck Creek. Four miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway gives you access to explore. Twenty minutes from downtown Marion. Mt. Mitchell State Park, Linville Caverns, Black Mountain, and Asheville all less than an hour away. Perfect for a quick family weekend getaway to reset and recharge in nature. Sit on the screened porch and watch the sun set over the valley while listening to the peaceful sound of the creek.
The cabin is small and cozy - just under 700 square feet. There's a large screened in porch as well . The property itself is just under 4 acres. There are neighbors nearby, but you'll have your privacy, tucked into a grove of trees surrounding the cabin. The area is peaceful and quiet, with the sound of the creek running and crickets chirping at night. You may hear cars driving by on 80 during the day, but traffic is never heavy. There is a dog tie out line in the side yard with plenty of space for your furry family member to relax if you wish to use it. Our dogs love the screened porch the best of all!

You're up a mountain , in the woods, so there's no public transportation. You'll need a car for your arrival and departure. There is plenty of parking in front of the cabin for cars.

Check In: Flexible

Standard check-in is 3pm to allow time for cleaning between guests. If the house is not booked prior to your arrival, we are happy to provide access to the home at an earlier time if needed. Check-in is contactless via a keypad on the door and the door code will be sent to you the day of your arrival.

House Rules

We welcome up to two dogs per stay with a $50 pet fee. Please message us with the details regarding your dog or dogs. If you are looking to bring a different type of pet other than a dog, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you.

We ask that you treat our home with the same respect that you do your own. We have a few rules we ask you to follow to help keep the cabin pleasant for all of our guests:

We are on well water and a septic system. This means nothing other than toilet paper can be flushed, and only liquids go down the kitchen sink. Please dispose of all solids and coffee grounds in the trash can.

This is a non-smoking home, inside and out. If you do smoke we ask that you do so outside, away from the house and that you properly put out and dispose of the cigarette outside. Please keep in mind that we are in the woods and the risk of fire is real.

No open flames or candles are allowed on the property. If you use the fire pit, please make sure to fully extinguish the fire before heading in for the night. Do not leave the fire pit active and unattended.

No events or parties are permitted. Please respect courtesy quiet hours from 10 pm - 8am for our neighbors.

No outside guests or additional overnight visitors without prior approval from the hosts.

If you break or damage something, even accidentally, please let us know so we can take care of it. We really don’t like surprises.

Please do not leave food out that will attract visitors. You are in the woods and there is wildlife all around. We keep the interior pest-free as well; please help us keep it that way by washing dishes and storing food properly.

Cancellation Policy

When booking, the home is reserved for you and your guests. We require 14 days notice for cancellations to receive a refund to allow a reasonable amount of time for the home to be rebooked. We do not provide refunds for cancellations 14 days or less from your reservation start date. We do not provide refunds for acts of nature - hurricane, snow, flood, etc.

Notes

We've covered it in other places, but we just want to make sure you know that there is NO CELL SERVICE at the cabin. We do have satellite internet but it can be spotty, so should not be relied on. We recommend this property for those who are looking to disconnect a bit and enjoy their time in nature, away from the bustle and hustle of everyday life. Cell service comes in down the mountain at the intersection of 70 and 80 - conveniently right at an ice cream stand! Grab a soft serve cone, make your calls, send your texts, and then head back to serenity and quiet.
