About this space

Get ready for your next fantastic vacation on the Outer Banks at A Sound Round, a roomy 4-bedroom home conveniently situated in the Village of Nags Head.

Your stay includes access to seasonal Village Beach & Tennis Club amenities, as well as 2 private sound-side fishing piers. Additionally, you can book your tee time at Nags Head Links, a well-known 18-hole course by the sound, available year-round.

The space

Welcome to A Sound Round OBX, our elegantly furnished vacation rental in Nags Head, designed to accommodate up to 8 guests (with an optional Queen pull-out sofa bed in the lounge). Just a 3-minute walk from a private beach entrance, we provide complimentary beachfront parking, access to a seasonal oceanfront pool, and a tennis club. With flexible booking options available throughout the year, you can plan a short escape or a week-long family retreat.

Located next to the prestigious Nags Head Links golf course, our residence is just a stone's throw away from Pirate's Cove Marina at 4.9 miles and Oregon Inlet Fishing Center at 12 miles. Linen and towel package is included with the cleaning fee. Guests are encouraged to bring their own beach towels. A full size washer and dryer, with detergent and softener are provided for your convenience.

The entry level features 2 large King bedroom suites with plush bedding, soft towels & sparkling clean attached bathrooms with complimentary toiletries. The Queen bedroom also has an attached ensuite bathroom, which can also be accessed by the hallway. The bright twin room has dual aspect windows making it a bright and cheerful room. There is an additional half bathroom on this floor with full-sized laundry.

All our bedrooms have new SMART TV’s and the 2 king suites have doors onto the back deck area where you can enjoy the loungers, hammock, or cushioned seating area while enjoying some social time or a good book in the shade.

If you enjoy cooking, our kitchen is for you. Upstairs on the top floor, you'll find plenty of pots, pans, dishes, and gadgets to prepare all of your favorite meals. Bar stools along the additional eating area, creates the perfect atmosphere for socializing while your food is cooking. Keurig coffee maker & regular coffee pot available. The kitchen includes a full size refrigerator/freezer, oven with stove top, and dishwasher.

Dining area features table for 8 & bar height counter with stools for 4. There is also an outdoor dining table, on the deck. Open and spacious living area features a flat screen NEW 50" Smart TV, tasteful decorations, and tons of natural light!. The views from the 180 degrees of windows across the Roanoke Sound is a sight to behold, or you can take in the view from the secure top deck and sit with your coffee or a cocktail to watch the spectacular sunsets.

Also on the top floor you will find an additional half bathroom, large larder and a dedicated workspace. We provide free high-speed internet and smart thermostats throughout the property. We do have a camera on the front door, ring device.

The ground level offers guests a fun game area with new wicker seating, hammocks and space to spread out. In the guest storage cupboard you will find a multitude of outdoor games, cornhole, jenga, fusball and skittles, to name a few, there is also a basketball hoop, and a dart board. There is a kite which you are welcome to take to nearby Jockey’s Ridge state park, which is popular with visitors as there is also a public sound-side beach.
There is also an outdoor shower with hot and cold water, a new gas grill with propane is situated outside under the rear deck. LED string lighting underneath the house, and on each of the rear decks is on a dust-dawn timer and pathway lights have been added to the steps at the front and rear of the property.

Enough parking for 4 cars on the driveway, parking on grass or the street is strictly prohibited. Overflow parking for multiple vehicles, boats, trailers etc. is available so please be sure to message us for more information!

Guest access

Guests will have access to entire house, community pool (seasonal), private beach access w/ free parking, tennis courts, and 2 private sound side fishing piers. Nags Head Links Golf Course is open to the public for your tee time!

Ground floor owners storage, attic & 2 owners' closets are locked and not accessible by guests.

Other things to note

Our property is right in the heart of Nags Head and offers convenient access to restaurants and shopping. Consider ordering your groceries ahead with Insta-Cart for added convenience. Grocery delivery services are available!

Linen and towel package is included in the cleaning fee. Initial supply of household basics is provided. This includes 1 roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, 1 roll of paper towels, 1 trash bag in each bin, dish detergent/dishwasher tablets, teabags, Keurig coffee pods, milk jiggers and sugar/sweeteners. The welcome pack is on the bar-top in the kitchen and Guests are responsible for any additional supplies needed during their stay. Aa welcome folder is on the table in the main living area, you will find lots of helpful information about the area. Please feel free to add any favorite discoveries for other guests to enjoy, by placing leaflets or information in the back of the folder.
