About Denise

Denise is from the UK and speaks English and French. She came to Gambia in 2004 to work as the Thomson resort manager, Cheikh is from Senegal, and speaks French as his mother tongue, and basic (but improving!) English and a variety of local languages which is very helpful at times! Cheikh but has lived a few years in the Gambia and worked in tourism in both Gambia and Senegal.
