The first offering was to rent just the downstairs where there are 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. This was perfect for 6-8 people, depending on sleeping configurations. A small group traveling together found this to be a perfect solution. While utilizing the 4 bedrooms downstairs, all the amenities of the cottage could still be enjoyed: The large screened-in porch, fire place, beach, boat, fire pit, grill, and front lawn seating to enjoy the view. It worked out well. The cottage wasn't as empty anymore.
Of course then came more ideas to offer it to a small family of 5-6 or maybe a small group of friends traveling together. Out of that came the idea to offer it for a bit less by providing 3 bedrooms and still 3 bathrooms. By closing off a 4th bedroom, this made it even more affordable and flexible. So off we went to offer it that way and it was a success!
