We began visiting Cedar Key in the late 70's and early 80's as a respite from studies at the University of Florida. For us, it was like going back in time, imagine, time travel in one day!
In those days, we drove over, browsed through the local artisans galleries and maybe had a picnic on the white sandy beach for lunch. The evening was usually capped off with a wonderful seafood dinner, overlooking the gulf, while viewing an incredible Cedar Key sunset. And believe it or not, we could feed the birds from inside the restaurant from a special feeding tray, (for lack of a better term), located just under the table side window!
