Scavenger Hunt - Ellijay, GA

The next time you head to the quaint downtown square of Ellijay in the North Georgia mountains, take a walk with the kids and hunt for these “things” all within walking distance of the square! Fort Mountain State Park
These beautiful 4000 acres historically have been home to the Cherokee Indians In Georgia. Today it offers over 25 miles of various hiking and 27 miles of biking trails to choose from, along with picnic shelter, fishing spots, swimming, horseback riding... not to mention the expansive views over North Georgia mountains. There is a $5/vehicle fee to enter the park (it was based on the honor system with envelops available at the entrance or in the parking areas).

Amicalola Falls

If you’re not up for this strenuous leg workout, you can park at the top for a short stroll from the parking lot to the overlook.
