Plan Ahead Checklist
- Find out what's happening during your visit. Check out our local paper, The Islander, online.
- You can request a Vermont Vacation Planner in advance as well.
- Make sure you have a current passport or other required documentation if you want to travel between the US and Canada. We're just 30 minutes to the border.
- If you were born after Jan. 1, 1974 and you want to drive or rent a power boat, you need to have your boater's safety class certificate with you. Every state has their own requirements and I believe most offer the course online. Certification from any state is fine.
- Get your vehicle paperwork in order. You'll want to bring your registration and insurance for all your motorized vehicles -- this includes 4-wheelers (winter) and boats (summer).
- Check out our Local info from our Web site to call ahead about boat rentals or to make dinner reservations, etc.

6. Configure Google Analytics
Google Analytics is a way to keep track of how your Web site is being searched for and accessed. Information about where the users are located, what devices they're using, what pages they're interacting with and how they find your Web site is included. You'll get a feel if that Facebook Ad you placed brought any new traffic to your Web site. You'll see that the new post you wrote is really getting a lot of hits.

4. Integrate Houfy Embedded Tools
To save effort on setting up your new Web site, you can embed items that you already have on your Houfy listing. When editing your Houfy listing, you can find some items have an "embed" button. When selecting the "embed" button, Houfy will display the HTML necessary to integrate into your Web site.
