The Mermaid Summer
+ The day began hot, humid and cloudy with the promise of thunderstorms in the afternoon which is common in late August. My heart was silently rejoicing in the clarity of water at high tide and the stillness of Moonrise beach as I floated peacefully in bliss. And THEN a head popped up. A young green sea turtle coming to the surface for a breath of air and a look around. Soon followed by another baby turtle head popping up. Then another and another and another. WOW, just
