My husband, Tom and I were married in 1979. We moved to Traverse City in 1980 from the city of Detroit. My mother was raised on an local farm. My maternal great grandparents were pioneers to the area. My mother moved away when she was a young adult. I developed my love for the area as a young child as we vacationed every year in Traverse City. Tom and I honeymooned in Traverse City. We moved here 9 months later.
