Villa Susanna - Marigot Bay - St Lucia

Villa Susanna is a unique property situated in a stunning position on a headland at the end of Marigot Bay. The house is an eclectic mix of Caribbean cool with Italian chic and provides wonderful spaces for relaxing and enjoying a memorable Caribbean holiday. The house is situated in 3 acres of fully landscaped gardens with winding paths and the occasional bench, leading down to the sandy Trou Rolland beach which is equipped with a barbeque and tables.

You enter the villa through a breezy hallway with a beautiful Murano glass chandelier and this leads into a spacious sitting room with ample seating and TV, DVD and stereo and a dining room with a dining table which can seat 20 persons. This room is cooled by ceiling fans.

From here you can walk outside through the patio with chairs and a hammock for relaxing, through the garden and over the pool, via a wooden bridge, to the sunset gazebo situated right above the ocean. This has a large round glass table and chairs and can seat 14 persons. The swimming pool is 20 meters long and is 2 meters deep + a shallow end.

The villa can accommodate 14 persons - there are 3 separate cottages each with two suites and a sitting area with wet bar.

Amber Flamboyant Cottage is home to the master bedroom with a wonderful 4 poster bed draped with nets. This bedroom has ceiling fans and air conditioning and two sets of doors so you can chose between closing the glass doors and using the air conditioning, or sleeping with the ceiling fan and with the breeze coming through the louvre doors. This double door facility is available in all the bedrooms. The room is equipped with TV, radio and Ipod dock, walk in closet, safe and ensuite shower room. There is a private patio with a small Jacuzzi and outside shower and room to relax on two loungers.

Adjacent is a sitting area with wet bar, fridge and some kitchen facilities so hot drinks can be made.

Completing this cottage is a library with a sofa, which can convert to a queen size bed. This room is also air conditioned with ceiling fan, TV, ensuite shower room, WIFI. There is also a private garden area with a hammock.

The Yellow Heliconia cottage has one bedroom with a 4 poster bed, air conditioning, ceiling fan, TV, private garden area with an outdoor shower + an ensuite shower room. There is a sitting area with a wet bar, fridge and facilities to make a hot drink. This leads into another bedroom with 2 single beds, air conditioning, ceiling fan, TV, Ipod dock, safe, ensuite shower room and a small private garden with a hammock.

The White Frangipani cottage is situated at a slightly lower level and consists of one bedroom with two single beds with air conditioning, ceiling fan , TV, safe and ensuite shower room. This is linked to another bedroom via a sitting area with wet bar, fridge and facilities to make a hot drink. The second bedroom in this cottage has a kingsize bed, air conditioning, ceiling fans, TV and ensuite shower room.

The Traveller's Palm apartment is situated on the same level as the living area and has a queen size bed with air conditioning and ceiling fan and an ensuite shower room.

The kitchen is large and very well equipped with a large cook top, fridge / freezer, microwave. There is a table seating 12 persons at one end of the kitchen, overlooking the garden and the sea view. Adjacent is another patio for al fresco dining, which has a separate wood smoked pizza oven + a professional barbeque situated close by. Adjacent to the kitchen is a laundry room ( only accessible to staff) and staff facilities. There is a generator that switches on automatically in the event of a power cut.

The property is protected by a virtual fence, which once set will be activated if anyone crosses the boundary at which point the remote cameras will focus on the person and also perimeter lights will come on.

Use of a 33 ft speedboat twice a week ( Tuesday and Thursday) is included in the rental of this villa. The boat has two 275 HP engines with a cabin and shower. It can only be used under the captaincy of Skipper Ben and guests are expected to pay for the gas to run the boat. The boat will be filled at the beginning of the trip at the expense of the owners and at the end it will be filled in Marigot Bay and the guests are expected to pay for the gas at that time in cash. Guests use this facility at their own risk.

There is now a cat on property. She is very friendly and well looked after.

The WiFi has been upgraded so it now covers the entire villa.
