Hawk's Cry - North End - St Lucia

The views over the ocean to Martinique and the nearby hillsides are truly spectacular.

Hawks Cry stands on six ½ acres of land, purchased by the present owners and their partners at the time. The temperature varies between 28° and 35° throughout the year. As Hawks Cry is in the north of the island, the rainfall is less than the south. The mountains in the centre of the island, attract the clouds, providing moisture to the rain forest. Often you can see rain in the distance, leaving the north sunny. The gardens are landscaped with palms, tropical flowers and colourful shrubs which attract Hummingbirds to feed from the blossoms. The entrance into the property leads into a light and airy open plan kitchen and dining area.

The kitchen is of Italian design with black granite worktops and a breakfast bar. The dining room sits 8 comfortably. The present owners have used natural materials to tastefully decorate all areas including Humming Birds and local fish and flowers on the mosquito nets and beaded tie-backs to the voile curtains. Driftwood, sea fans, bamboo, found on the beaches and in the hills, enhance Hawks Cry. A lovely feature is the sand decorated splash back above the cooker.

Leading from the entrance, is a tastefully furnished living room with cable TV, DVD player and Docking Station..Air Conditioning and Ceiling Fans are fitted in all living and bedroom areas, except for Sapphire Bedroom, which has air conditioning only.The living room has 2 bi-fold doors leading to a large balcony with wonderful uninterrupted sea views over Anse Galet Cove and Martinique. The balcony area has 2 comfortable settees with a glass topped coffee table,making it ideal for snacks, a glass of chilled wine, or cocktails at sunset. A glass topped dining table and seating offers alfresco dining as a tempting alternative.The Powder Room is accessed from the Living Room. The property has dual voltage (220/110 volt).

Hair dryers are provided in all bedrooms. 2 safes are provided for guest valuables. The Emerald Master Bedroom is spacious, with a high cathedral ceiling. The en suite, with Italian marble, has double sinks, and a lovely walk in shower with seating. A bathtub with shower makes a pleasant alternative. Downstairs, the Opal and Ruby Bedrooms have king sized beds, en suites, and large walk in closets. Ruby has a lovely balcony, and Opal a Romeo and Juliet window. The two single beds in the Sapphire bedroom can be converted into a King Size Bed with prior notice.The playroom is ideal for the younger members of the family. It is cool and safe as there is no outside access. A desk, chairs, books, crayons and puzzle books are provided. Please note. If children use this area, the balcony doors on that floor should be locked for safety reasons.

The 52 foot crescent shaped infinity swimming pool in the gardens has underwater lighting. Hawks Cry is the only holiday let in this gated development, all other residents work on the island, therefore the pool is very rarely used.The private sun terrace has a plunge pool with underwater lighting and seating. An external shower is in this area to cool down. Parking is directly outside the property.The gated community has key code access, operated from the house or remote control when entering.

The housekeeper can make breakfast and do some local dinners for you ( which will be left on the stove ) as she will be in for 9am to 3pm ( 6 days a week)
